~ Liza Smith ~

Me and Matt were now on our way to the restaurant. P.F. Changs. My favorite. My family decided to celebrate my graduation by taking me to my favorite restaurant, gosh I love them.

"I should've probably worn something that's more- I don't know, something that's for a celebration." I said as I looked at Matt, who was driving us to the restaurant.

I had shown up to Matt's house in simple denim shorts and an orange shirt. Normally for an occasion like this I'd wear a nice dress, but I had forgotten that I was going out to eat today.

I could've asked Matt to take me home so I could change but we were already late. The restaurant was about 30 minutes away but we didn't realize that until it was 4:50 and we were barely getting into the car.

"You look pretty either way." Matt looked over to me and smiled.

I blushed at his words and turned my head towards the window to look outside.

On top of us being late already, Traffic was getting worse every second. Traffic is San Jose was always the worst at this time. I took my phone out of my pocket to find 20+ messages from my sister. Gianna blowing up my phone asking me where we were, like if I didn't text her 10 minutes ago that we'd be late.

Gia: Where are you???

Gia: Ma is getting mad

Gia: You better hurry up

Gia: Are you even dressed nicely????

I'm pretty sure that if she texted me one more time my phone would actually blow up. I replied before I could let that happen.

Me: Gianna shut up I'm on my way I told you we'd be late.

Me: And there's a bunch of traffic

Me: Tell ma to not be mad pls pls pls

If we showed up to the restaurant and my mom was mad, I'd probably die of embarrassment right in front of Matthew.

"My sister is blowing up my phone asking me where we are." I told Matt.

"And what did you tell her?" He asked.

I looked at him with a weird face, "...That we're gonna be late?" I said sarcastically.

He looked at me with furrowed eyebrows and put his eyes back onto the road before speaking, "You're funny."

"You don't sound amused." I chuckled.

He let out a little laugh,
and then everything went black.

I opened my eyes, but I couldn't see because of the huge airbag in front of me. My ears were ringing and my head was throbbing in pain. Suddenly it hit me.

We just crashed-or someone crashed into us.

Panic set in and i began looking around frantically. I looked over to Matthew who's head was turned the other way. I tried to speak but nothing came out. Suddenly someone opened my door.
