Chapter 14 - Your crazy ⛓

Charlie woke up to sudden pain in is stomach again which made him groan as he got up to take the pills the doctor perscripted to him. He couldn't help but notice Babe and the twins who were sleeping in the bed besides him as he saw his boyfriend cuddling up to the babies. This distracted the stress and pain Charlie was feeling for a bit till he shaped back into reality, Sirens blaring from down the street were heard followed by screaming. Charlie heard this and quickly checked out the window to see what was happening, Charlie panicked as he continued looking at the site, as Charlie found a familiar face looking at him. "Babeeee" Charlie whispered as he shook Babe not trying to wake up the children, "What is it Charlie?" Babe woke up rubbing his eyes. "Look." Charlie added before grabbing Babes hand dragging him out of bed, "Shit.." Babe spike under his breath looking at the house across the street. Babe then sensed something was off so he ran downstairs, "Babe What is it?" Charlie asked worried following Babe downstairs. "What's the time?" Babe asked as he flicked through a pile of papers on the kitchen counter, " Its 6:30" Charlie replied looking at the papers Babe was reading. "Great." Babe whispered sarcastically as he pulled out his phone, " Babe!" Charlie yelled frustrated not knowing what his boyfriend was worrying about. Babe quickly turned to Charlie...
"Sorry it's just that I have seen that man before, He is a psycho" Babe answers. "Wait. You know him?" Charlies asks confused, Babe nods before adding, "He is somebody that works for Tony. When I was raised in Tony's place that man always wanted to kill me.He always made my life miserable " Babe turns away from Charlie as he as he is flooded with past trauma that he didn't ever want to bring up. "Babe. That was the client I was talking about..." Charlie responds holding Babes arm, " Seriously?" Babes voice changes hearing Charlies response. Charlie just nods has he puts his head down, "That son of a-" Before Babe can continue he is cut off by ringing in his ears making him whice. "Baby?" Charlie notices Babe holding his ears screwing up his face as he drops to his knees. Charlie quickly catches Babe before falling, "Babe whats wrong?" Charlie asks as he helps Babe up. " Sorry my senses just went weird. I'm fine" Babe pulls himself together before going upstairs again. Charlie gives him a look at he goes upstairs looking insure.

That afternoon...

Charlie is playing with the babies making them laugh, while Babe is upstairs on the phone..
Way: It's really him?
Babe: Yes. He is the one we should be worried about Way not Tony
Way: First of all, Tony's dead. Second of all, Isn't he one of Tony's people?
Babe: I don't know but if he is then why was he alone.
Way: Well there is only one way to find out I guess
Babe: He knows about the team. Personal stuff, even Ayden and Amara...
Way: How?
Babe: I don't know but I know where he lives so I'm gonna go to himself
Way: Babe careful he is most likely armed and if something happens? You have a family.
Babe: I know but I will make sure he doesn't hurt anyone
Way: I'm coming with you
Babe: Way no..
Way: I don't care if you say no I am coming
Way then hangs up the phone before Babe can say anything further.
Babe hasn't told Charlie what he is doing because he doesn't want to make him more stressed so he just quietly gets ready and gets changed.

Babe comes downstairs then goes up to his babies for he hasn't spent time with then for a bit. As he picks up Amara he mentions to Charlie that he is going out, "Where?" Charlie asks. Babe pauses trying to think of an excuse... "Oh uhm. Just to the Shops, Way needs to get a gift of someone and he doesn't know what to get." Babe lies not looking at Charlie while he is speaking. "Why do you spend so much time with him" Charlie pouts crossing his arms, Babe turns back to Charlie sitting down next to him. " Charlie, He is my best friend after all and he asked me so I couldn't say no" Babe lies even more feeling guilty for doing so. Babe knows what will make Charlie go soft, "Mama will show Papa something after." Babe adds smirking at Charlie.
Charlie blushes hearing Babe and nods, Way comes in without knocking already knowing the door code. "Hey" Way comments walking up to the twins, " Aww they have grown soo much" Babe and Charlie share a smile hearing this. "Anyway. Babe are you ready?" Way and Babe stare at each other, Babe nods before kissing the babies and leaving. "Hey. Where is my kiss" Charlie teases Babe as he is just about to leave, Babe rolls his eyes then runs up to Charlie kissing his cheek before finally leaving.

In the car...

Way looks at Babe who is shaking his leg looking out the window, "Babe, are you okay?" Way asks concerned. Babe just turns to Way and smiles and nods, "I know what your worried about. It will be fine, once we put an end to this guy you don't need to worry about your family" Way adds looking at the steering wheel. "Mm I know" Babe replies as he holds his head, " Shouldn't we have told the others?" Babe asks looking at Way. Way just chuckles, "Let's not worry the others, the others don't even know this guy but us. We grew up with him" Way responds looking at Babe who is still getting use to Way as one of Tony's sons as well. Soon after they pull up at this huge mansion with glass windows covering the front of the house, They see the man standing in front of one staring at them like he knew they were coming...

Way and Babe open the door as it was already unlocked and search the house. "Wow you two have grown up so much." A man's voice echoes the room as Babe and Way turn to see nothing but darkness, "What do you want" Babe growls looking at the shadow. Way puts his hand in his inside pocket pulling out a gun for protection, " There is no need for that Way." The man states as he walks out of the darkness. "You remember me?" Way whispers as he voice starts to crack. "Of course, You two after all were my favorite children for Tony's" The man puts a hand on his temple, "Let me ask you again. What do you want"Babe starts to get annoyed waiting for a answer. "Nothing much. I just wanted to meet you two. It has been awhile, after all Babe you have children now" The Man looks at Babe with a slight smirk on his face. "How the fuck do you know that?" Babe approaches him not wanting to look at his eyes, "Ugh your just like your father" The man scoffs rolling his eyes. "Tony is not my father!" Babe yells grabbing the guys collar, Way notices the guy with a knife in his hand holding it in his grip. "Babe that's enough. Come here" Way whimpers looking at the guys hand that is armed, Babe completely ignores Way as he is busy yelling the the man not realising what he is holding. "Babe!"  Way finally interrupts making Babe turn, The man quickly pulls out the knife and grabs Babe by his wrist. The man cuts Babes chest before Babe manages to get out of his grip, Babe falls on the ground in fear looking up at the man seeing his pysiotic face. "I have waited soo long to do this." The man yells holding up the knife to stab Babe, Way shoots the guys before he can harm Babe any further then he already has. He falls on the ground but reaches his arm out using all his remaining strength and pushing the knife into Babes stomach. "Ahhhh!" Babe yells in pain pushing the man off him and then beats up the man till he gets blood on his hands. Way who is shocked by his friends reaction takes the body away from Babe so he doesn't get injured anymore, Babe then snaps back into reality and looking down at his stomach seeing himself bleed. He holds his hands on his stomach not wanting to bleed out, "Babe your okay." Way tries to reassure him as he goes to pick him up and take him to the hospital, Way looks at Babe who is starting to turn pale and loose his grip. "Babe. Babe stay wake" Way panicks trying to keep Babe awake, "I'm sorry way. It hurts." Babe spits out before passing out. Way quickly rushes to the car with Babe in his arms gently laying him in the passenger seat then running to drive off.

At the hospital Babe is taken into the emergency room which Way could not enter because they were doing surgery. Way quickly takes out his phone which looks smashed put calls Charlie,
Charlie: Hello?
Way: Charlie. Babe is hurt, badly...
Charlie: WHAT! WHAT HAPPENED?!?
Way: You know that guy you saw this morning.
Charlie: Yeah???
Way: Babe killed him but got stabbed in the process
Charlie: Is he okay?!?
Way: I don't know he is in surgery right now
Charlie: Okay I'm coming. Call me if something happens when I'm not there
Way: Okay.
Way hangs up the phone then looks at his hands which are covered in Babes blood, "Please be okay" Way whispers to himself as he feels a tear shed. Charlie comes running into the hallway seeing Way standing in front of the door, "Way!" Charlie runs up to him, noticing him crying. Charlies heart drops, "What happened?!" Charlie yells in fear. "I'm sorry Charlie. I couldn't protect him" before Way could continue the Doctor comes out of the operating room.
