Chapter 24-Target 🎯

(Cough Cough...) Babe wakes up in a room, standing before him is his Husband, Children and his friends. Babe squints his eyes for a second and sits up quietly whincing from the pain in his stomach. Babes eyes widen and he quickly puts a hand on his stomach after remembering what happened the night before, "Is the baby okay?" Babe asks Charlie in a worried tone. Charlie reassures Babe by sitting besides his gently rubbing his head, "Baby's fine but I'm not sure about you" Charlie whisper quickly hugging Babe, latching on to him like a baby. "Babe you scared the shit out of us" Alan complains pacing up and down the room, "Sorry. I just had a feeling something was off" Babe apologizes putting his head down. "Yeah you should be, You know how much you puppy over here cried? We needed to listen to him for hours sobbing" Way adds pointing fingers at Charlie who's sulking with his head in the crook of Babes neck. "Anywayy on a good note. Some people learnt how to say Jeff" Jeff states proudly showing the couple their twins.
Babe laughs, "Wow really.." Babe takes is hands out as Jeff carefully place the twins in his arms. "Thank you Jeff for taking care of them, I see it has taken a impact on them" Charlie tease, "Yeah will it wouldn't if Babe didn't always find himself getting into trouble" Way scolds. Charlie frowns at Way then just continue hiding his face in Babes neck, Alan notices the discomfort in Babes eyes and signals Jeff and the others that they should give them both some time alone. "Anway take care. And congrats on being husband and wife, we should get going.. It's really late" Jeff adds as Alan holds the door open for everyone. "Okay bye byeee" Charlie waves smiling turning to his friends leaving, his smile quickly fades as he sees the door shut.
Charlie looks at Babe who seems annoyed, "Well? What the fuck happened. You have a family that isn't dead? A brother I didn't know about" Babe says in a harsh tone. Charlie sits up and faces Babe on the bed...
"I know I owe you a explanation but. It's hard to explain" Charlie replies,
Babe scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Okay Charlie okay..." Babe just turns to get out if bed.
"Wait!" Charlie stops him and pulls Babe back on the bed,
"Yes that man that captured you was my biological brother, I had a mother and Father but the truth is.. They died in a fire so that's why I never mention my parents." Charlie stops and looks at Babe who seems stunned, "Wow Charlie I- I'm sorry but what does that have to do with me? Why did he take me" Babe asks confused. Charlie follows on..." The reason my parents passed away was because of me. They saved me from the house which was in flames just because I saw too stubborn to get out of the house. My brother found me responsible for this and hated me since then even though I was put in his custody, He hated me so much but never let me leave. So after serval years I sneaked out and that's when Tony found me. The reason why I wanted to kill him was because he is gonna target you and the kids until he gets it his way. I don't trust him Babe, he already hurt you and he's capable of doing worse" Charlie finishes and let's out a huge sigh and rub his forehead in his hand. Babe doesn't respond and just sits there, Charlie looks at Babe feeling guilty hiding this from him but knows it was for the better. Babe nods and just gets up and walks to the bathroom shutting the door behind him,

In the bathroom
Babe holds himself steady leaning against the sink feeling sick to what he just heard, Babe unties the hospital browns front and just looks at his swollen belly (most likely from the pregnancy) with wounds and markings . Babe quickly ties it backup again after hearing Charlie come in not knowing about his markings from Charlies brother. "Babe? Are you okay, I know what I said was a lot but can you say something please" Charlie getson his knees and pulls his wife closer to him, hugging his waist tightly which make Babe groan. Charlie looks up and him and realises his grip before standing up, "What's wrong ?" Charlie asks innocently trying to take the gown off. Babe refuses and backs away from Charlie before he can see, "Nothing just... I'm tired that's all" Babe lies. Charlie unconvinced, just nods and approachs Babe to take him to the bed.

After 3 more hours Babe was released from the hospital and they went home...

Charlie watches Babe go upstairs with the twin resting then down to sleep.
Charlie goes to the kitchen realising that he would be hungry so he starts to prepare something, After a bit Babe comes down stairs wearing a grey turtle neck whichis odd because Babes whole wardrobe consists of tank tops and bomber jackets. Charlie doesn't mind the sudden change in fashion and just smiles as his wife approachs the bench, "What are you making?" Babe asks taking the spoon from Charlies hand to try the food he is making, "It's really good" Babe compliments taking another spoon to have more. Charlie Peck's Babes cheek then continues cooking...
Charlie prepares two plates for the both of them and takes it to the table to eat.
Babe immediately sits down and starts eating out of hunger not even sensing Charlies intense stare towards him, Charlie starts eating slowly as he scans his eyes down Babe looking for any discomfort. Babe is aware of Charlies unpleasant glare knowing that Charlie is on to him and suspects something being wrong. Babe turns looking at his husband, "Everything okay" Babe mentions looking at Charlie irritated. "Are you actually okay? Why do you seem so-" before Charlie can finish Babe yells, "So what. Huh?" Babe asks getting up inpatient taking his plate to the sink then goes into the study room.
Charlie let's it go and apologizes the continues eating while watching Babe leave,

Charlie cleans the kitchen and slowly walks into the room which Babe was in,
He sees him on his laptop searching something but he can't seem to tell what. Suddenly Babe sits up from his slouch position and goes to take in jumper off, while taking his jumper off his t-shirt clings to his jumped matching his top lift up a bit as well which makes the marks on his around his abdomen visable. Charlie eyes widen, not maintaining to tame himself he yells out to Babe which makes Babe jump.
Babe quickly gets up and stands tall trying to seem calm against the now concerned Charlie, "What is that?" Charlie pulls up Babe top looking down at his waist. "What did he do to you" He whispers under his breathe gently touching the burn marks along with scratches.
"Charlie it's just when he pushed me into the car these formed nothing else" Babe panicks and moves his hand away. "Why are you lying again? Tell me what he did to you. Did he torture you" Charlies tone in voice starts to get louder, Babe stares blankly at the floor not wanting to get him more angry. Babe reluctantly nods and pulls his top down which Charlie is gripping onto,
Charlie just smiles and laughs as he grabs Babe by the hand taking him to the first aid kit to get him treated, As Charlie takes him in his arms Babe thinks to himself... "Psycho."
