Chapter 20- Little secret 🫢

After Babe pulled himself together he when back down stairs to everyone who was STILL taking about the wedding, Babe just sat next to Charlie with his hands crossed in his lap looking down. Pete who was sitting on the other side looked at Babe strangely trying to read his mind, He couldn't. "What the hell?" Pete thinks to himself as he has never had a problem reading other people's minds, Pete just brushes it of and continues listening to Way how is blasting Babes head off yelling at him because he should take this more serious. Jeff watches them and how loud Way is being to Babe and remembers his senses on top of his condition. "Way. Leave Babe alone I was the one who told him to come with me" Jeff interrupts standing up to look bigger. Way just gives Jeff a death stare and then turns back to Babe before sitting back down, Charlie puts a hand on Babes thigh which makes him flinch. Charlie looks at Babe confused wondering why he reacted like that, he notices Babes change of moods and sees how uncomfortable Babe is, "Why?" Charlie thinks to himself scrunching up his nose. "Anyway I think that's all we need to sort out." Way states before getting up to leave with Pete. After that Charlie is eager to leave so he takes Babes hand and goes to leave saying bye to everybody, Babe and Jeff share a look at eachother before leaving.

In the car,
Babe is driving while Charlie is in the passenger seat, "Are they asleep?" Babe asks making Charlie look in the back seat at the twins. Charlie turns back and nods, "Is something wrong?" Babe asks looking at Charlie seeming on edge. "I'm fine but are you?" Charlie answers giving Babe a questionable look, Babe feels him heart drop. "Uhm.. Yeah -yeah I am" Babe responds second guessing himself. Charlie just turns back facing the window, "So why did you flinch when I touched you huh? Are you scared of me?!" Charlie feels his blood start to boil. Babe just stares at him not knowing what to say, Then Babe quickly parks the car as the arrive home opening the back door taking the twins out and going to put them asleep.

Once the children are in the bed Babe goes downstairs to Charlie sitting with his head in his hands. Babe sighs, "Charlie. If this is about how I flinched it was just a muscle spasm." Babe answers before going to get water. Charlie gets up and approaches Babe, He turns back... "Charlie? Fuck not this again" Babe whispers underneath his breath looking at his husband that doesn't even seem there. His anger issues mixed with jealousy get the better of him making him lash out. "Charlie!" Babe yells holding Charlies hand, Charlie just pushes Babe against the wall kissing him roughly. Babe feels Charlie leaning against him, Babe thinks to himself about the baby then also thinks about Charlie and the state he is in. He picks the baby, so Babe just pushes Charlie away from him which makes Charlie anger. Babe doesn't move as he looks at him with no emotions which makes Charlie tense, Charlie snaps out of it but continues looking at Babe. "What happened? What have I done to you? Do you not love me anymore Babe?" Charlie cries wiping the tears running off his face. " I'm sorry just please leave me". Babe responds before going to bed,
After a bit Charlie goes upstairs to find Babe already sleeping. He admires the beauty of his wife as he sits closer tracing his hand on his tattoo, Charlie then slowly slips into bed and places a soft kiss on Babes cheek then whispering, "I'm sorry Mama" then turns around with his back toward Babe. Babe who wasn't fully asleep hears this feeling guilty for not telling Charlie and let's out a quiet sob covering his eyes and mouth from Charlie hearing.

The next morning Charlie woke up earlier the Babe which made him time to do things around the house and look after the twins before they needed to go to the race. Charlie lept out of bed went downstairs cleaning and making breakfast then went back upstairs to the babies to feed and change them.
After 2 hours everything was done and Charlie was sitting on the lounge with the twins playing with them, Meanwhile upstairs Babe woke up feeling nauseous so he quickly went to the bathroom locking the door behind time so Charlie couldn't hear him gag. When he finally felt good enough he went downstairs to see his husband and children, "Good morning Mama" Charlie teases using aydens hand to wave at Babe making him smile. Babe went and sat next to them placing a kiss on all their cheeks, "They are so cute, Babies. I want another one" Charlie comments looking at Babe with a wide smile. Babe coughs on his own spit hearing this, "Mmm yeahh m-me to" Babe whispers to himself, Charlie just looks back and continues playing with the twins.

At the garage...

Babe walks in the garage to be immediately greeted by Jeff, "Oh hey" Babe answers hugging Jeff back. Charlie on the other hand just places the twins on the playpin that Alan installed from them and drops the bag on the chair, Babe looks back at Charlie and the others then just walks off going outside near the track. Babe enjoys the peace and quiet to himself but is cut off by Pete joining him outside, Babe turns to Pete just smiling at him then turns himself further away. "Are you okay?" Pete asks sitting next to Babe, "Yeah I'm fine" Babe lies. Pete doesn't believe him, "I know what your hiding" Pete adds looking at his shoes. Babe feels his heart sink, "W-What are you talking about?" Babe stutters looking at Pete. Pete just gets up putting his hands in his pocket, "You know exactly what I'm talking about, Just don't lie to Charlie okay. He is a good kid" Pete mentions before leaving. Babe sighs as the guilt gets worse and worse lying to Charlie, then Jeff comes out knocking on the wall getting Babes attention. "Oh yeah. Jeff come sit." Babe responds patting the seat next to him, "I saw Pete come. He probably know since he can read minds" Jeff says placing a hand on Babes shoulder. "I see you haven't told Charlie yet?" Jeff asks looking at Babe, He shakes his head. "Phi you know he loves you right and even better he even said he wants another baby so why don't you tell him"Jeff adds slightly shaking Babe who has zoned out. "Yes your right I will tell him and I know when." Babe answers, Jeff waits for him to continue. "At the wedding when Way does a speech, After he is finished I will tell everyone including Charlie " Babe continues then gets up ready to go inside. Jeff nods then follows Babe instead, Jeff is stopped by the intense glare being shown at him by his brother. "Why is he starring at be like that, Is he jealous?"Jeff thinks to himself then walks inside smiling at Charlie....
