Chapter 25- Attached ❦❧

(Longish chapter)

Babes POV:
I just stare at Charlie as he quickly changes the twins in a hurry looking agitated , "Let's go." He states taking the kids down to the car. "Is it because he saw my wounds?" I think starting to panic, I reassure myself and just follow him to the car. "Charlie? Where are we going" I ask seeing him buckle the twins in their car seats, I wait for a response... Nothing.
"Don't ignore me" I yell coming closer, Charlie turns to me and doesn't say anything just opens the car door for me signaling to go inside. I hesitate but agree and push myself inside the car with my arms crossed avoiding to look at him.
"P'Babeeee why are you sulking" Charlie finally replies, "Wow the nerve to say that.." I think. "Oh. So now you say something?" I sarcastically answer, I calm down and lower my voice looking in the rear mirror seeing the twins starring widely at me.
"Where are we going?" I ask again this time hopeful he will response,
"To pay my brother a visit. That's all" Charlie answers seeming completely fine.
"What the fu- Didn't you just give me a whole life story about who he hated you??? Also.. HE TRIED TO KILL ME!" I feel my face start to get hot out of frustration.
Charlie just stares blank at me for a few minutes, I start to regret what I just said.
"I know but I left one part out, he is a nice person to most people just not me.. Which I understand but he said he wanted to speak to us soo this is why we are going" Charlie adds turning back to the steering wheel and continues driving.
At this point I give up.. I sit there annoyed to the point I feelm hot and bloated,  "I feel sick.. " I mutter hoping to get out of this.
Charlie obviously heard but didn't answer, "We are here... We will get medicine after we are done okay" Charlie pats me on the back and opens the door.

Charlies POV:
I feel bad for not listening to Babe but I need him to know about my brother so I guess it will have to wait. I look back at Babe who is dragging his feet on the pathway holding Ayden in one arm, I see Babe just look straight up past me seeming in a daze. I turn around seeing him leaning against the door frame holding the door open for us. I approach him slowly and walk inside after him and Babe, I see him lead us into the living room and sit down. I look at Babe who is admiring a photo with a half cracked frame then come closer realising it was a family photo of my mother, father and us both. "Babe was it?" He breaks the silence leaning closer putting out a hand to Babe, Babe looks unsure and hesitates to answer.

No ones POV
Babe nods and puts his hand out, "I apologize for my behavior, I see I haven't introduced myself.. I'm Mathew. Charlie must have told you about me" Mathew side eyes Charlie then looks at the twins. "You never said you had kids already" Mathew adds, Charlie sits up with a straight posture and crosses his hands in his laps, Babe takes Amara off Charlie who seems tense and places her along with her brother in his lap. "I'm just gonna get to the point... Why did you do what you did to my wife?" Charlie asks in a serious tone, Mathew stops and corrects his posture as well. Babe starts to feel uncomfortable and moves further away from the two and sits on the other side of the couch with the legs curled over his chest. "Shit they are both Enigmas-" Babe thinks smelling the overwhelming pheromones in the room,
he tries to hold his breath and keeps his head down trying to distract himself with the twins. Babe looks up at Charlie who is now standing scolding his brother while letting out all his pheromones which make Babe overwhelmed, especially because now he was pregnant. 'Cough Cough..
Both brothers lookat Babe who looks like he is struggling to breathe, "Babe? Are you okay" Mathew goes to Babe before Charlie which makes him a bit annoyed but still not his focus. Babe pushes Mathew away knowing if he comes any closer he's just gonna cling to him like the alpha he is, "I'm fine just please stay there" Babe begs. Charlie sits down closer to Babe trying to touch him but Babe refuses, "I'll go get him some water" Mathew runs to the kitchen to get him some water. Charlie takes the twins which are starring at their mother confused off Babe and places them on the mat and takes out some toys for them to help whatever is going on with Babe. "Baby? Do you feel sick. Do you want me to take you to the hospital" Charlie asks not knowing what to do, Babe covers his face and shakes his head. "Is it the baby?" Charlie tries thinking what could be wrong with Babe, Babe shakes his head again but this time manages to look up at Charlie with a hot red face with glassy eyes. Charlie feels bad not knowing what is wrong with his wife but then is suddenly wrapped in Babes arms, Charlie thinks for a bit then it hits him.. He hesitates to say it but then finally say it, "Babe. Are you in heat?" Charlie whispers.
Babe stops and just glares at Charlie, "I'm a alpha... And no I think I've started my rut cycle" Babe answers underneath is breath. "You still go into rut when your pregnant?" Charlie asks clueless, Babe rolls his eyes and nods places his face burried in Charlies chest.
Mathew comes back with the water and hands it to Charlie seeing Babes current state, Charlie takes the cup of this but struggles a bit sensing a slight grip at the glass. "I guess you guys should go seems like you have something important"
Charlie agrees and helps Babe up then goes to pick up the twins while Mathew sees them out picking up the bag Charlie had brought. Babe goes to the car and sits in the passenger seat silent while Charlie says bye to his brother and goes to put the children in the car, looking forward at the mirror seeing Babe slightly dozing off.

Charlie waves at Mathew and walks around the drivers seat, Mathew stares at them watching Charlie drive off. Charlie looks back seeing his brother glaring at him my a mysterious smile which makes him feel on edge, Amara starts trying in the back sit which makes Charlie snap out of it looking back at his daughter who just suddenly stopped seeing Charlie turn back. Charlie scoffs seeing her sucking on her thumb just looking at him with a smiley face showing her gums. They reach home and Babe helps get the twins out of the car then follows Charlie inside, Babe places them down in their play pin and then runs excuses himself. "I'm going to have a shower" Babe mumbles holding his hand over his face, Charlie nods as he watches Babe go upstairs leaning against the railing walking up. Charlie sighs and just sits on the couch and calls Jeff,
Jeff: Hello
Charlie: Hey Jeff
Jeff: Did you guys go to you brothers?
Charlie: Uhm yeah... But that's not why I'm calling
Jeff: Okay?
Charlie: Ugh. So basically... Babe is in rut and what makes it worse is he is more sensitive because he is pregnant and I have no idea what can help him.
Jeff laughs hearing his brothers worry.
Charlie: What's funny? I'm very worried
Jeff: Ok well for me to help I need to know what kinda state he is in
Charlie: I don't know he is just very quiet and I think he has a fever
Jeff: You think?
Charlie: Well he wouldn't let me touch him so I don't know
Jeff: What's he doing now?
Charlie: He's in the shower
Jeff: And why do you want my help?
Charlie: Because aren't you a omega?
Jeff: Yeah but Babes and alpha
Charlie: SPECIAL ALPHA which means he is a omega technically...
Jeff: Ugh fine. I'll be there soon
Jeff hangs up the phone...

Charlie feels hopeful but doesn't hype himself up so he just goes and makes the children's bottles.
Meanwhile Babe finishes his shower and steps out feeling the same, Babe looks at himself in the mirror seeing his chest which is bigger than usual and his neck red. Babe drys his hair and goes and lays on the bed pulling the blanket over his head, he goes on his phone to distract himself from the aromas travelling up the stairs from Charlie.
Downstairs, Charlie can smell Babes pheromones getting stronger and tries to stop himself from going upstairs. Thankfully Jeff comes in and greets Charlie, "Oh Jeff thank you for coming" Charlie thanks him and looks upstairs. "God I can smell him" Jeff answers walking past Charlie going up to Babe.
Jeff walks upstairs to be hit with all of babes pheromones at once which make him cover is mouth, Jeff slowly approaches Babe still under the blanket and places his hand on what he thinks is Babes back. "Phi. It's me" Jeff whispers trying not to alarm Babe, Babe pulls the blanket off him showing his face. "Sorry" Babe mumbles covering his face with the pillow, Jeff sits beside Babe rubbing his back thinking on what he can do. "Babe. I know what will help" Jeff adds with a smile, Babe looks at Jeff unsure but agrees.  "Get up for one second please " Jeff slightly tugs on Babes arm making him get up, Babe groans as he slowly is dragged out of bed but just stands up and walks behind Jeff.
Jeff fixes the bed and then runs to the cupboard to get out a few extra pillows, "May I ask what are you doing?" Babe stares at Jeff in confusion as he lays the pillows around the bed.
   "A nest.." Jeff replies out of breath, "What?" Babe doesn't understand what Jeff is saying.
"A nest is what Omega's use in heat, it helps believe me." Jeff adds, "Oh hell no" Babe steps back and tries to hide in the bathroom. Jeff quick grabs Babe by his arm and pulls Babe onto the bed, babe hesitant to lay down just sits there uncomfortable in his surroundings.
After a bit Babe feels sick again so he just lays down ignoring the situation he is in, "Are you okay" Jeff asks laying next to Babe. Babe slightly nods and turns facing Jeff, "How come last time I was in rut I didn't feel soo-i don't know... Sick". Babe conplains, "Well maybe because last time you weren't pregnant or it could be that your second gender changed" Jeff answers. "I'm still a alpha.." Babe pouts making Jeff laugh, "Okay okayy.." Jeff teases. Babe smiles seeing Jeff laugh and follows along, Babe suddenly goes tense again and curls up into a ball again with is face in his chest making these quiet whimpers. Jeff notices and immediately stops feeling Babes forehead, "Shhh" Jeff comforts slowly sitting up.
After a while Babe magically falls asleep hugging the nearest pillow, Jeff gets up and walks downstairs seeing Charlie playing with the twins.
Charlie quickly looks at Jeff waiting for answers, "He is fine I think he just needs his partner" Jeff states grinning at Charlie. "I'll look after them for a bit you just go upstairs and stay with him for a bit" Jeff adds pushing Charlie off the couch, Charlie nods and quickly runs upstairs.
Upstairs, Charlie sees his sleeping wife and quickly walks up to him. He carefully lays behind Babe hugging him from his back, babes eyes flutter open sensing the person behind him. "Charlie?" Babe turns seeing his puppy husband's starring at him, "Shh just go to sleep, I won't leave" Charlie promises leaning his head on Babes. Babe faintly nods and drifts back off to sleep with Charlie attached to him never letting him go.
