Maids scurry around the castle as they finish preparations. Eclipse had woken up early that morning to speak with her father before the ceremony and now she was heading back to the room in her armor. The armor was made from special fabric that was just as durable as steel but lightweight. The bodice was black with a white front and gold embellishments and a slight V-neck. Tight black leggings adorned her lower half and white boots came up to just above her knee with gold plating on top. Gold plating also rested on her hips where her daggers belonged. Her sleeves were black with long white gloves that she had convinced the seamstress to turn fingerless.
She knocks on the door. "Anna! You ready babe?"
"Yeah, give me one second!" Anna yells back.
She steps back patiently waiting before the door opens and she smiles at her wife.
"Wow you look good." Her wife whistles as she looks her up and down.
"Not bad yourself love." Eclipse chuckles as she holds a handout to her wife.
Anna's armor was made of the same material. It was mainly white with light blue stripes up the side of the bodice, a bronze chest plate covering her breast. White leggings with blue covering her upper thigh and black boots that came up to her lower calf. She also wore a long-sleeved cape jacket that fit tight over her torso but flared out like Eclipse's half cape, exposing her slender legs. Her gloves were black and there were bronze and silver plating on her hip where a sword would sit.
Anna smiles as she takes Eclipse's hand and lets her lead her away. They walk down the hall and find Zala standing with Cory and Eclipse's parents as they waited for them. Zala wore a lovely green dress with a sweetheart neckline, the top of the bodice being a darker emerald, green while the skirt was a light green. The skirt of the dress was made of satin and covered Zala's legs and feet as it touched the ground. Small, stitched Vines grew along the trim and her arms had artificial Vines that climbed from her fingers to her shoulders with tiny buds along them. She also wore a green choker around her neck and her hair was half pulled up in a braided crown.
Cory wore a simple black and white suit with silver embellishments. The torso was a white captain style uniform with silver chains across the chest and he wore black pants with ankle high leather boots and white gloves. A white cape with black trim was resting on his shoulders and there was a swirl design etched into the middle. The neck of the cape was also black and had silver fasteners.
While the 4 of them were dressed up, her parents were dressed down. Her father wore a casual black suit while her mother worse a golden sleek dress. Her father's crown was a simple gold circlet with green emeralds around the band and her mother's was also a golden circlet with green emeralds. Anna tilts her head as if realizing something.
"Wait so how do the crowns work? Does one go to you, and one go to your sister?" She looks up at Eclipse curiously.
"No. Those will go to my sister and her husband. The ones for us are at the front of the room right now, since there's no previous Ruler of War to pass it onto us." Eclipse smiles as she gently explains.
"You guy's ready?" Zala smiles as they stop beside her. "We'll be going first and then you guys will come in and give your oaths before we give our joint oath."
Eclipse nods as her father takes a deep breath. "Alright girls. It's time. Make me proud."
The two sisters smile at him as he and their mother walk through the doors, Zala and Cory following shortly after.
Eclipse shifts her weight a couple times as she focuses on her breathing with her eyes closed. A soft hand on her cheek makes her open her eyes and she smiles at her wife.
