Chapter 16

Eclipse playfully nips Anna's neck as they walk, making her giggle.

"Stop that!" Her wife tries to jerk away from her as she grabs her waist.

"Never." She growls into her hair.

Anna laughs as she wiggles in her arms. Her cheerful smile was all she needed as she nuzzles her hair. Anna slowly calms down and relaxes against her.

"Thank you." Anna looks up at her with a knowing smile.

"You've got me, and I've got you. Forever and always, princess." Eclipse smiles back. "I don't like it when my wife is feeling down."

Anna smiles as she kisses her. "I know and I'm so grateful for you."

Yelling draws their attention to a crowd of people as Eclipse sighs. "Never a moment's peace."

Anna laughs as they walk towards the crowd, their suits materializing.

"Where are they?!" An angry man's voice rings through the street as they get closer, people slowly moving out of their way.

"I don't know why you're talking about." Another man's voice raises angrily, the voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't place it.

"Alright break it up!" Eclipse growls as the two parties come into sight.

She had to focus hard to keep from lashing out as she finally recognized where the voice came from. A voice that had terrified her younger self. She had forgotten that they were released.

Shaking away the thoughts that threatened to take over, Eclipse addresses the unfamiliar man. "What's going in here?"

"I'm the Ruler from the moon colony. This man is wanted for the murder of our princess as well as kidnapping." The tall, pale man growls as he points at the man.

Eclipse's blood runs cold at the words as she looked at the other man. He was short and stout with a beer belly, not much different than she remembered him.

"Is this true?" She raises an eyebrow, her voice cold.

"Of course not!" The man yells indignantly as his wife nods in agreement with him.

The wife was taller than him with golden hair. She seemed smug as she watched what was going on. Eclipse instantly knew they were lying though as their heart rate jumped. She grits her teeth as Anna looks at her, thinking it through before sighing and looking at the moon ruler.

"Are you aware that earth is under Urandian protection?" She ignores the curious look Anna gives her as the man grits his teeth.

"Yes, and they've been harboring this man simply because he's one of them!" He growls.

"I wouldn't be so sure. However, the Urandian Queen of Peace needs to be made aware of this." Eclipse sighs as she pulls her phone out.

"Wait... you know the queen?!" The wife yells out in surprise.

Eclipse stops and gives her a look. "That's my business."

She ignores the woman as she hits the call button.

"Hiya! What's up sis?!" Zala's cheery voice answers.

"Sorry to disturb you but we have a situation on earth, your highness." Eclipse uses the formal term, alerting Zala to the seriousness of the situation. "How fast can you get here."

"I'm actually here already. We were coming to spend the day with you and Anna. Where are you?" Zala's tone turns serious, and she can hear the others start to ask what's wrong in the background.
