Eclipse stretches as she stands up, still feeling worn out but atleast she could move without feeling like a weight was on her now.

"Alright let's head home." She smiles at Anna as they link arms.

Anna leans her head against Eclipse's biceps as they dismiss their suits and walk towards home. She squeezes her wife's hand gently as they walk, enjoying the sun. A small groan slips out as she sees two men in their driveway, causing Anna to tighten her grip on her.

"Who are they?" Her voice shakes a bit as she slows down and pulls Eclipse with her.

Eclipse stops. "Nobody to be concerned about love. Just an annoyance is all. Come on, you'll see."

She gently pulls her arm and Anna follows hesitantly.

The man with golden blonde hair and gold tinted eyes smile as they get close. "Ah Eclipse! I was starting to wonder when you'd show up."

Eclipse rolls her eyes. "Knock it off Zeus. What does the Greek pantheon want with me this time?"

She can see Anna's jaw drop from the corner of her eye, which seemed to just boost Zeus' ego. "Same thing as every other time. We want you to be our hero, especially now that you've mastered your abilities."

"And like I said every other time, not happening. Every time you guys recruit a hero they find themselves either dead, separated from their loved ones, or cursed. I'm not dumb enough to play your games and I'm tired of being asked. So if you and Hermes would kindly leave me alone..."

She moves around them and heads towards the door as Zeus growls. "Most people see it as an honor to be noticed by us."

"Good for you. Go find one of them then. Why the hell you and the other pantheon are obsessed with me, I have no idea. Now go...a...way." she opens the door and lets Anna in as the two disappear in a flash of light.

Anna looks at her in disbelief as she sits on the couch. "The Greek pantheon?! As in..."

"The Greek gods and goddesses. The other pantheon are real too." Eclipse groans as she leans her head back.

Anna sits beside her and curls up against her. "I'm so confused... how are they, and the Christian God real?"

"Back in historical times, people from other planets rarely came to earth. Because of that, few people with abilities were actually around. Those who were, were shunned and looked down upon. God started creating the pantheons as protectors of humanity. However, they became corrupt. They let their fame and worship get to their heads, making them believe they were better and more important than mortals. They began doing whatever they wanted, including rape. Because of this, they lost God's favor." Eclipse explains.

"Exactly!" Eclipse jumps as Gabriel speaks up from behind them.

"Gabriel! Seriously stop that!!" Eclipse growls as he moves around in front of her.

He chuckles. "Sorry, it's just a lot of fun watching you jump."

She narrows her eyes at him. "I'm pretty sure you didn't come here just to make me jump."

"That's true. I came to answer the other question. Why the pantheons are so insistent that you join them." She raises an eyebrow as she sits up. "The pantheons keep an eye out for any other potential pantheons in the making, and they offer them the chance to be their heroes. Once they accept that offer, they can no longer become a separate pantheon. This eliminates potential rivals for the pantheons."

"And what does that have to do with me?"

"You're the next candidate for a pantheon. You've passed every test and proved you can do the job. So... what do you say to becoming the Sapphire Pantheon leader?" Gabriel smirks.
