We finally arrived at McKay's. The entire street was filled with many Cars that it was almost impossible to find a parking spot. Maddy turned down the music. "Y'all keep an eye out for parking." she said as she drove down the street slowly. "Uh I don't see anything." Kat said while searching for a space. I noticed Cassie and Lexi near the curb waving us over. "Pull up Maddy they're calling us over." I told her. Maddy drove forward to where Cassie and Lexi were standing and lowered the passenger side window. "I saved you guys this spot, Just park in his driveway." Cassie said. I sighed. "Thank god. I hate walking too far while wearing heels and being drunk." I said. Maddy pulled into the driveway and parked the car. Once she turned off the ignition, We all climbed out. "Hold on, I need to put on some last minute touches." Maddy said while taking out her compact mirror from her bag and her lip gloss. "I hope I find a really hot guy tonight." she said while putting some on. We all snapped our heads to look at her. "Um I thought you and Nate fixed things?" Kat asked her. "No, He still hasn't apologized after being a dick to me at is family dinner and I told him if he didn't apologize to me by the morning then we're done.. and since he didn't we're not together anymore." she said while twisting the cap back on to her lip gloss and putting it back in her bag. "You do know he's here right?" I asked her. Maddy looked at me."Exactly which is why I need to find a hot guy tonight." Rue chuckled. "Maddy this always happens you'll end up with him at the end of the night and make up." Kat said. "No, we're really over. I deserve way better." Maddy responded. BB inhaled her vape and then blew it out. "Didn't you say that the last 7 times?" BB asked. Me,Kat,and Rue snorted. "BB I think you should lay off the nicotine for a while, it's finally caught up to your fucking brain." Maddy said. After going back and forth with Maddy and finally convincing her we believed her and Nate were done for good we headed inside to the party.

As we were walking in Goosebumps By Travis Scott was blasting through the speakers. There were so many different color lights illuminating all over. The aroma of the house smelled like weed and alcohol. I noticed the doors that lead to the backyard were wide open allowing people to be coming in and out freely from the backyard to inside. The girls split up from Rue and I, all I knew was that I wanted to get fucked up tonight. "Let's go take some shots! We're celebrating you being back!" I told Rue loud enough so she could hear me over the music playing. She nodded her head and smiled. We went to the kitchen Island and found a San Matias Bottle. I poured us 3 shots each in some plastic shot cups that were near. "Hey! Cheers!" Rue said. We clinked our tiny shot cups and downed all three. "Oh that'll do it!" I said. "Oh shit" I said once I seen what was unfolding right before my eyes.
I walked outside to find Maddy in the pool with a mystery guy completely making out. She was stripped down only to her bra and underwear. They were making out in the pool but it was hard for me to tell if something else was going on underneath all the water because the way the guy was a moaning mess and Maddy was too, it was hard to deny what they WEREN'T doing. I covered my eyes because I knew it was going to bite her in the ass by the time we went back to school. There were too many witnesses but again it's not like Maddy ever cares. All that was on her mind was to get back at Nate and she did it in the best way she knew how.
I brought my hands back down from my face and seen Brandon and Kyle's phones with the flash on recording Maddy. Oh fuck this. I walked over and grabbed their phones and threw them in the pool. " Bitch! What the fuck is your problem ?! You owe me a new phone!" Brandon said with an angry tone. "I don't owe you shit!" I snapped back. "If you think this shit's a game I promise you, you wont fucking win. recording a MINOR in the pool having sexual intercourse will have you in prison starting at 8 years and you'll be forced to register as a sex offender...so this shit can go two ways either You walk the fuck away and mind yours or I'll make sure your sentence gets bumped up to Life... and just to make it clear none of these options involve with me getting you a new phone or the one that's below in the pool. The choice is yours. " I said to Brandon. He looked around at the crowd that was now surrounding us. He looked pissed. He knew better than to test me. I wasn't kidding. I don't play when it comes to my family or friends. If I have to get my hands dirty I will. "let's go." Brandon said while nudging Kyle. Then they both disappeared through the crowd, Everyone was laughing at them. I sighed. I hate getting out of my character.
I turned around and Maddy was still making out with the guy in the pool. I then seen a drunk and pissed off Nate storming through the doors to see the scene that was unfolding right in front of him. "Yeah That's real fucking classy you whore." Maddy pulled away from the guy. "Suck my DICK!" she responded while giggling. I could tell Nate was embarrassed because next thing you know he threw the can of beer he was drinking from aggressively and stormed back inside. Everyone outside started oooing and laughing at him. I looked back from the pool and back to where Nate was. "I'm still too sober for this I need another shot." I said to myself. I went back inside and grabbed the bottle me and Rue were taking shots from and started downing as much as I could. Flashing lights by Kanye came on and with the whole vibe already being set I was in for the time of my life. I was singing along to the lyrics and I noticed everyone on the dance floor was just as drunk as I was. Girls were grinding on their partners or on each other, People were taking shots and singing along. I was mainly just singing the lyrics and taking shots. This was such a euphoric moment for me. Everything just went away and nothing else mattered. The lights started flashing and I kept taking shots and dancing. Once the song ended I decided to get some fresh air which was a big mistake on my part. I got more fucked up by it hitting me. I looked around outside and noticed Rue was sitting on the sofa, only she wasn't alone. Fezco was right beside her. I decided I'd try and walk over to them but soon tripped over a planter that was left in the middle of the walkway. It sent me flying to the grass and I landed to a spot that was near them both. I landed on my right side and once I realized I touched down I was too fucked up to even try and get up. "Fuck me." I slurred to myself. I layed flat on my back and looked up at the stars. Everything was spinning. I giggled to myself. I heard footsteps on the grass and I knew they were coming towards me. A familiar voice spoke. "Yo V, You good? You took a hard ass fall." Fez asked. "Mm define good? I'm GREAT!" I said while slurring my words and giving a thumbs up. he chuckled. "You sum else bruh, How much you drank tonight?" Fez asked me. I laughed. "To be honest I pre-gamed in the car and when I got here I drank three shots with Rue and after that I finished a halfway bottle of tequila," I giggled. "Sheesh You in for a rude awakening in the mornin'." He told me while still crouching down and looking at me. "C'mon lets get you sobered up." Fez stood straight up again and extended his hands for me to take. Once I grabbed on to him I couldn't pull myself up. I had no strength. I was too drunk. "Fez I can't do it, I cant feel my legs." I said to him. "Don't worry it's good I got you." Fez crouched down and swooped me up. I yelped. He carried me bridal style back to the couch. Once he set me down I leaned onto the pillow. "Ima go get you some water so we can sober your ass up, stay here." He said. "I can't feel my legs, it's not like I have a choice." I responded back to him. He chuckled. "Alright I'll be back." I seen Fez disappear back into the house. I turned my head and looked towards the direction of the pool. Maddy and the guy were no longer there. "Thank god." I whispered to myself. I heard footsteps approaching me again and Fez extended his hand out to me giving me 3 water bottles. "Thank you." I said to him. "I ain't leavin' til you finish at least one." he said while Sitting back down. He grabbed my legs and put them over his lap as a way to give them comfort and support. I opened the cap to one and started chugging it down. "Damn You fasho needed that." He said to me. I wiped my mouth. "Yeah, drinking ice cold water while being drunk is the most refreshing thing." I kept drinking from my water bottle. Once I put it down I looked at him. "Were you selling tonight?" I asked him. Fez Started to light up his joint. "Yeah, We made we pretty much sold everything we had for the night and hit the goal." I looked at him with a questioning face. "We? Ash is here?" I asked him while searching for him through the crowd of people in the backyard. "Yeah But he probably chillin' wit some girls you know how he be." I chuckled. "Don't think I forgot about us hangin' out tomorrow." He said suddenly. I smiled "I was hoping you didn't." I blushed. I think Fez couldn't tell that I did because my cheeks were red from my drunken state. He inhaled the smoke from his joint and after a few seconds blew it out. "Nah I could never, you like the coolest girl here." He told me with his smile. I smiled back. I couldn't contain myself from blushing. "I doubt that." He chuckled. "You can't see it but I do. I always look forward to seeing you whenever you come to the store and when you leave I be missing you." he said with a smile. I wanted to cheese so badly but bit my bottom lip to keep myself composed. "What can I say your store has my favorite snacks that no other store in town does." Fez chuckled. "yeah like no other store has airheads and the tropical citrus vitamin water you be drinkin'." I laughed. "Ah you caught me." He chuckled as he caught me in my little lie. "Nah but real talk I really value you Fez, you've always treated me with kindness since day one and you're really sweet. I know you're one of the few people that actually cares about me." I said to him. I noticed Fez's cheeks turn a little pink. I didn't point it out to him or make fun of him for it. The Vibe we currently had going on was too good to ruin with a silly joke. "I could say the same about you, I don't got many people in my life but you a solid one V. You never take advantage of me unlike Rue's Feinin' ass" We both laughed at his joke. "Nah I'm just jokin' but I know I'm always working and you got school but wit whatever time have we should kick it." He said. I sighed. "I'm down." I responded to him. We stared at each other for a few seconds until his phone dinged. I cleared my throat and he picked it up from his lap. It looked like he got a text message. "Shit my bad V, Ash wants to get home to count up what we made for the night, I gotta go." He said while standing up. "You're all good, Thank you for tonight by the way and for saving me." I told him. "Anytime, It ain't a problem. You sure you good bein' by yo'self?" he asked me. I nodded my head. "Yeah I honestly sobered up pretty quickly with the water. I'ma chug the other two." I told him. "But can you stand and walk is the real question" I got up from the couch and walked a few steps back and forth landing in front of Fez in the end. "Alright it looks like you're good. I'm just makin' sure." "Thanks for not leaving me hanging." I told him. "Ain't a problem but I'ma text you when I touch down at home." I smiled. "Alright don't forget." I told him. He nudged me with his shoulder. "Alright bye V." he said while walking away. "Bye Fez, ya'll get home safe." He nodded his head and with his right hand he placed it over his heart and afterwards did a peace sign to me. I shook my head and smiled. I sat back down for 5 minutes and continued to drink from the other two water bottles I had. I grabbed my phone and pressed on Maddy's contact. It went straight to voicemail. I sighed. I then decided to call Kat afterwards and it was the same thing. Voicemail again. I looked at my surroundings in hopes of seeing any of the girls. No one, not even Rue. "Fuck." I whispered to myself. I got up and walked around the backyard searching for them. No luck. I then walked back inside and through the crowd of people vibing to Les by Childish Gambino. I still kept searching for any signs of the girls. None of them were here, I decided I'd head upstairs to search for them and instead I seen people sitting on the floor either talking or making out. None of them were Maddy. I kept walking down the hallway and decided maybe I had a better chance of finding her if I knocked on the doors. Part of me thought it was a good idea but then again I realized we were at a party and lord knows what people were doing behind closed doors. It's best not to I thought to myself. I headed back downstairs and looked through the crowd one last time before finally giving up on my hunt. None of the girls were to be found. Maddy better have a good reason when I see her again. I knew my time at the party was coming to an end and Since I couldn't get a hold of Lexi nor Cassie I guess my only option would be to go back to my house. My mom was working a graveyard shift and wouldn't be home till 7 am anyways so I was still good. I walked outside the house and began my walk back home. I barely made it 3 houses down when I realized I left my house Keys In Maddy's car. My heart dropped. I grunted. "Bro are you kidding me." I told myself while grabbing my hair and putting it to the side of my neck. My feet began to ache from the heels too. I took my heels off for the meantime and had to figure out what other options I had. I grabbed my phone looking at the list of contacts hoping I'd spot anyone who I'd seen was here tonight until I heard and seen a car pull up beside me. I immediately looked up and seen them roll down the passenger side window. "Aye! whatchu doin' out here by yo'self?" he asked me. "Fez?" I asked while trying to see him through the car. He turned off the ignition and got out. "Watchu' doin' out here by yo'self V?" I sighed. "I couldn't find Maddy or any of the girls at the party and they're not answering their phones either. So I decided I'd walk home instead." I told him truthfully. " Why didn't you just call me? " he asked me. "I didn't know that was an option plus I didn't want to disturb you I knew you had shit to handle tonight." Fez looked me in the eyes. "That don't matter to me, I'd rather come get you through the hours of the night than for you to walk home with these weird ass muthafucka's that be out here, straight up." My cheeks began to turn pink. "Thanks Fez, I really appreciate it." I told him. "What are you still doing here though I thought you left earlier?" I asked him. he chuckled. "Lucky for you someone hit my line and wanted to cop some stuff off of me last minute, the money was lookin' good so I came back to drop off their order." he said while leaning on his car. "Ah, I see Ash is home?" "Yeah he's countin' up right now." he told me. I started to feel a bit chilly and crossed my arms. Fez must've took notice. He took off his pullover sweater that he was wearing for the night and walked up to me "Here." He made the gesture of putting it over me. Once I had it on I adjusted it myself. "Thanks Fez, You sure you won't be cold?" I asked him. "Nah, You need it more." I chuckled. "You trippin' if you think I'ma let you walk home lookin' like this though. C'mon I'll take you." He grabbed me by my waist and guided me to the passenger side of his car. He opened the door for me and I sat on the seat. Once i was sitting inside he closed the door and went around. He got in the drivers seat. We both buckled our seat belts. "You Hungry?" he asked me as he turned his car on. I smiled. 16 by Baby Keem started playing through his stereo. "I wouldn't mind getting some food. But it's on me I owe you especially for tonight." "Nah you good V, This wasn't a favor. I care about you a lot, How tha fuck was I just gon' let you walk home and possibly get snatched up. Issa crazy ass world we live in." I sighed. "But you good though, Ima buy us the food. Do you have to be home a certain time or is your ma' gon trip if you ain't home soon?" he asked me while driving down the street. "No she's working a graveyard shift tonight. I told her I was sleeping over at Lexi's." Fez looked at me for a few seconds and then looked back at the road. he had one hand on the steering wheel and the other leaning on his door while he was twirling the hairs on his beard. "So" he was making a right turn on the street. "It looks like you sleeping over at my place then." he told me. I whipped my head to look at him. "Fez I couldn't do that to you and Ash, I know you guys have your own shit going on tonight." "So then tell me what was gon' be your plan before I showed up?" I bit my lip. "Ain't nun of the girls answering." Which was true by the way, It was better than plan B which consisted of sleeping at the park until sunrise. "Alright Alright you got me there." I said to him. he chuckled. "Side's it really ain't a problem it's just me and Ash, we got plenty of room." he told me. I looked at him again. "You sure he won't mind?" I asked him. he shook his head. "Nah Ash likes you, Just don't tell him I told you that." I laughed. "I won't." I looked out the window. "Whatchu Hungry for?" he asked me. I hummed. "We could get In & Out." Fezco looked at me. "Alright In & Out it is." he responded as he drove to the nearest one. "What do you wanna eat tomorrow since we gettin' some tonight?" he asked me. "Honestly I always eat Pho the day after a hang over." "That shit does sound good not gonna lie. Alright Pho it is." I smiled. Fez continued to drive and in the meantime we were vibing to the music that was playing from his playlist. After 16, Stay ready by Jhene Aiko ft Kendrick came on. "I love this song." I said to Fez. he chucked "I Know you do I remember one of the last times we kicked it, it came up on your playlist and you started singing your heart out." I felt my cheeks heat up. Fez noticed. "Nah! don't be embarrassed about that shit V, I love when you sing you got a dope ass voice." I shrugged my shoulders. "I use to be in the church choir when I was younger but I never committed to going further with singing." I told him. He looked at me again. "You should though, you got a pretty ass voice." I blushed. We looked at each other for a split second. I cleared my throat. Fez Chuckled and put the volume up once Kendrick's part came on. He started rapping to his part. I started feeling butterflies in my stomach. While Fez was rapping to Kendrick's part he would look at me every now and then considering the fact he was still driving. When Jhene joined Kendrick on the verse I joined Fezco. Once his part was over I lowered the music down. "Damn Fez! I didn't think you had it in you." I told him. "Bruh whatchu mean? this song hella fire. You put me on to this shit, I'd dedicate it to my girl if I had one." "She's gonna be a lucky." Fez took his eyes from the road once again and met them with mine. After 8 minutes we finally arrived to the nearest In & Out and of course the drive thru was packed on a Saturday night. We didn't mind waiting though. While we were waiting we caught up with each other about what had been going on in our lives. He filled me in on how Rue was still doing drugs although just getting out of rehab. Earlier today her visit to the store wasn't to buy snacks or to visit Fez, it was to buy something else off of him and Ashtray. I wasn't going to confront her about it because if I did, I would be giving Fez away and the fact that he told me. He didn't need any more drama in his life. I'm concerned for Rue. Leslie and Gia have been through so much with trying to get Rue clean. The fact it took her less than 24 hours to go back to her old habits worries me now that she's out of rehab. She's not confined to a place anymore to make sure she gets the help that she needs and a place where the drugs aren't easily accessible . I sighed. "I'm not gon' sell to her anymore, if that's what you're worried about. I had a talk wit her today about how her endin' up in the hospital was a wake up call for me when it comes to her. I care about her and the last thing I wanna do is fuck up her life even more." He said. "I want her to get better but she has to want it for herself just as much as we want it for her, I get she just got out of Rehab and after the accident it's challenging for her to get back on her feet again. I don't want her to get overwhelmed by everyone telling her to get her shit together over and over again because that's when she'll start running to drugs to try and escape reality. I feel like everyone has to be patient with her if they want her to live." I said to Fez. he sighed. "Sounds like you've dealt with someone like this before." I looked at him and looked down to my hands as I began to fidget. I always got anxious whenever a topic related to my dad was nearing into conversation. Before I could tell Fez about him the person who would be taking our order walked up to Fez's window. Fez began to order his usual and afterwards I ordered mine. I ordered for Ash as well since I knew he'd be craving some burgers too and besides I didn't want to get killed over not including him.
