Chapter 15 - Desperate Souls: Part 2

It was nighttime, firefighters were surrounding the town hall, Emma saved Regina from the fire.

"Did you really rescue Regina?" Mary Margaret asked Emma.

"Yes." said Emma.

"You are a hero." said Ruby.

"We should see if they have a picture of the rescue." said Mary Margaret.

"We could make campaign posters." Granny said.

"That's a great idea!" Archie exclaimed and turned to Hope "What do you think, Hope?"

"I think it's a great idea!" Hope agrees.

The clothes:

Everyone went to town hall for the debate and Mary Margaret hang the  "Swan for Sheriff" posters.

Mary Margaret saw David "Hi, David."

"Hi Mary Margaret, Hi Hope." David greeted and saw a toddler at Hope's arms "And who's this little monkey?"

"Oh, this is my godson, Edward Teddy Lupin. Teddy, say hello to David."

Teddy looked at David with doe eyes "Hi."

"Hi, Teddy." Hope noticed that David want to carry Teddy but he keeps hesitating.

"You can carry him if you want to, David."

"Really."

"Yes."

David smiles widely and carried Edward Teddy Lupin in his arms.

"How are things?" Mary Margaret asked David as Teddy pulled David's hair.

"Good. I've got a job. I'm working at the animal shelter."

"Cool." Hope smirked "I guess Teddy only likes you because of your hair."

David chuckles and winces in pain as Teddy pulled his nose "Yeah, he is." Teddy slapped him hard in the face

Mary Margaret and Hope laughed hard and Rose Red looks at them confused "What did I miss?"

"I'm not going to win." Emma said.

"What are you talking about?" Mary Margaret asked looking at her "Everyone is talking about what you did in the fire."

"Why wouldn't you win? You're a hero Emma."

"No, Henry's right. I can't beat Regina. Not the way she fights. Watch and see."

"Is this really about beating Regina?" Hope questioned Emma "It's a good reason."

Emma looked at Henry who is playing with Teddy from the curtains.

"No. It's just-" Emma was cut off by Mary Margaret.

"Henry."

"I wanna show him good can really win."

"You can do this, Emma. Henry will have hope again."

Hope and Mary Margaret sits next to Henry as Teddy fell asleep in Henry's arms when the debate begins.

"Tragedy has brought us here, but we are faced with this decision. And now, we ask only that you listen with an open mind and please vote with your conscience. So, without further ado, let's introduce our candidates, Sidney Glass and Emma Swan. Uh, Mr. Glass? Your opening statement."

Archie is waiting for the statement.

"I just wanna say that it elected, I wanna serve the best quality for StoryBrooke and neighborliness and strength. That's it. Thank You."

"And Emma Swan?"

"You guys all know I have what they call this uh.. troubled past. But you've been able to overlook for because of this... hero thing. But here's the thing; that fire was a setup. Mr. Gold agreed to help me in this race, but I don't know what that meant. But I didn't know that he was going to set a fire. I don't have a evidence, but, I'm sure. And the worst part of all this was... I let you all think it's real. I'm sorry."

Hope noticed Mr. Gold leave, which she didn't saw him before and Emma also left.

Hope who is holding Teddy's arm while he walked fast and Henry jumped on Hope's back as Teddy's too fast went to Granny's.

"He's fast!" Henry exclaimed as he jumps off Hope's back.

"I know. He's going to be an athlete for this."

They found Emma in Granny's.

"Hey guys."

Henry gave Emma a walkie talkie.

"What's this for?"

"You stood up for Mr. Gold. It was pretty amazing."

Hope smiled and Emma looks at her.

"What?"

"Something great just happened."

Regina walks in with Sidney "She's right, Miss Swan." She gives Emma the badge "Congratulations, Sheriff Swan."

"Wait, what?" Henry looks at Emma and Hope "Why didn't you guys tell me?"

"We thought it was a cool surprise." Emma said to Henry.

Henry smiled "It's so cool."

"There was a very close vote. But people really likes the idea of a sheriff standing up to Mr. Gold."

People entered Granny's.

"Are you joking?" Emma questioned Regina.

"Actually, she's not joking."

Hope walked in the dark corner of Granny's and whispered to a person- soul actually.

"Are you happy Graham?" Hope asked.

"Yes, Yes, I am." Graham answered.
