A Potter In Storybrooke

Chapter 5: Part 1

David is talking himself in the mirror "People of StoryBrooke. I know we're trapped again, and things look bleak, but they're not." He groaned.

"No, keep going!" Henry urged "You're onto something!"

David walked into the counter "No. I wasn't. I did the fighting. Snow did the talking."

David pulled a destroyed hat in his bag, looking defeated.

"Can I see that?" Henry asked, looking interested.

"Yeah." He gave the hat to Henry.

"I think I know what this is!" Henry ran towards his book, flipping pages until he found the one he's looking for "it's the hat of the Mad Hatter! It's a portal between worlds!"

"The Mad Hatter?"

"You've heard of him?"

"He's a character from Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the looking glass." Luna explained "He's a character from Lewis Carroll's books."

"She's right." David nodded, looking at the page "David had memories of reading Alice in Wonderland but Prince me never met him. I need to get it to work again. Who is he? I mean, who is he here?"

"I don't know." Henry responded "Maybe he'll check the crisis center. You could check after the thing."

"What thing?"

"The meeting where you're going to tell us about your plan? Remember the speech you're doing?" Enid reminded.

"Right." He quickly grabbed his hat and coat "I'll be back for that." He walked out the door, Henry following behind who insisted who wants to help, but the door closes.

"Please, everyone, just be patient. I'm sure he's going to be here soon." Ruby tried to calm down the chaotic, panicking people "Granny, do you really need that?" Ruby gestured to the crossbow.

"We got a lawless land, Ruby. Damn right, I need it."

Luna turned to Henry who is trying to call David "Try calling him again."

"He's not picking up."

"Just keep trying." Luna pleaded, though she was calm at everything as usual.

Suddenly, the door burst open and Regina entered, smirking and the crowd gasps and back away in fear.

Luna pull Henry behind her.

"My, what a nice turnout." She started, entering inside "No need to make a fuss. Just little old me."

"Regina." Dr. Hopper stepped forward "What do you want?"

"Bug." she said to in disgust and uses her magic to slam him back and does the same thing to Grumpy, Granny shot her crossbow but Regina caught the arrow, bursting it into flames "How sweet." and threw it to the crowd.

But Enid and Luna are in front of the crowd, wands at the ready. What's this? A wand duel even though the Evil Queen herself doesn't even have a wand.

"Protego Maxima!"  The arrow went into pieces.

Ruby stepped up "What do you want?"

"Me." Henry stood and walked through the crowd "She wants me. Okay. I'll come with you. Just leave them alone."

She walked forward and put her hand in his chin "That's my boy."

Regina puts her hand in Henry's shoulder and they left and uses her magic to slam the doors.

Luna, Enid and Ruby walk to Granny's and Jefferson ran past them.

"Hey!"

The Mad Hatter ignored them and continue running, David running after him and the girls stop Henry.

"David, stop!"

"Get out of my way!"

"Regina took Henry!"

David points at Jefferson "But he has the way!"

"David Nolan! You listen to us right now!" Luna yelled making David stopped and surprised that she yelled, his reaction is the same as Regina's "You can worry about Jefferson later, but right now, worry about Regina. She has Henry."

"She has Henry?"

"That's what I said." said Enid "she showed up at your town meeting which you missed. Her magic is back! Everyone is panicking and they want to leave! They're going to loose everything."

"Okay. Okay. But I have to go after him first. He's my only way of finding Emma, Mary Margaret, Rose and Hope back."

Ruby piped in "Okay, back to what? The town is about to be apart. You've got to do something."

They got in to his truck and to stop people from leaving StoryBrooke.
