Chapter 23 - Red Handed: Part 2

Ruby came back to the station with Emma and Hope's lunch and Hope left the Sheriff's Station and after lunch they went to the hospital where David is.

"No, because he's not under arrest. We were just talking."

Hope frowned looking back and forth at Regina and Emma.

"What are you doing here?" Emma asked Regina.

"Mayor Mills is still Mr. Nolan's emergency contact."

"I thought that changed into Kathryn?"

"Well, Kathryn is unavailable right now. Some people didn't find her yet, Stop looking for a blame. Just find her." said Regina and she left.

Hope turned to David with a sympathetic look "David, it's going to be okay."

"Really? How do you know that? Because I honestly can't say anything about my actions anymore."

"There has to be a proper explanation for all of this." said Hope and turned to David and pointed to a chair next to her "Sit." he looked at her for a second and sat down.

"You're right. But I don't think it's a good one."

Hope turned to Emma and asked "Did you find her?"

"There was a box. We think it's... We think she... There was a human heart inside of it. We are going to send it for some test but there aren't many missing people." Hope pulled David into a hug as he began to cry "There is more, there were two fingerprints inside the lid of the box. I ran them through a record of everyone in town, there was a match, but David, the fingerprints aren't your's they were Mary Margaret's."
