𝔸𝕊 Arya's cries echoed into the desolate air, Quaritch's voice pierced through the sorrow, crackling over the communicator. "Can you hear me, Corpral?" Neytan heard the message loud and clear, his jaw clenching with anger and fear as he listened. "Yeah, yeah, I think you can. Mr. Miller. I got your daughters. Same deal as Arya's before," Quaritch's voice sounded, dripping with malice and deceit. Neytan's gaze shifted to the ship, his heart pounding in his chest as he processed the implications.
Turning to Lo'ak, Neytan's voice was tense with urgency. "Where are your sisters?" he demanded, his eyes searching his son's face for answers. Lo'ak met his father's gaze, a flicker of guilt crossing his features before he responded quietly, "I don't know." Tsireya's voice broke the tense silence, her words carrying a heavy weight. "They're on the ship. They're tied up on the ship," she confessed, her voice trembling with worry. Spider, ever cautious, added crucial details, his words careful and deliberate.
"They're at the moon pool. At the well deck. Midships," Spider supplied, his eyes meeting Neytan's with determination. Neytan's mind raced with the new information, his resolve hardening as he knew what needed to be done. Moving to Arya's side, Neytan spoke gently, his voice a soothing balm amidst the chaos of emotions. "Let's go. We gotta go. Come on, let's go," he urged, his hand reaching out to touch her cheek, his eyes pleading for her to rally her strength. "Listen to me. Listen to me," Neytan implored, his voice steady and determined. "They have our daughters. They have our daughters," he repeated, his words a grim reminder of the stakes they faced.
Arya's tears ceased as Neytan's words sank in, his touch grounding her in the present moment. Placing his hand over her heart, Neytan whispered words of encouragement. " I need you with me. Strong heart... Strong heart," he repeated, his voice a mantra of resilience. A flicker of determination sparked in Arya's eyes as she met Spider's gaze, her voice firm and resolute. "Show me," she commanded, her voice carrying a newfound strength born of maternal instinct and unwavering resolve.
Spider nodded in acknowledgment, his gaze filled with respect for Arya's decision. Arya's eyes then fell upon Lo'ak, her heart aching at the thought of leaving him behind. "You stay with your brother," she instructed, her voice firm but filled with maternal concern. Neytan mounted his ikran and soared into the sky, leaving behind a sense of urgency in the air.
"Mom, I want to go with you," Lo'ak pleaded, his voice tinged with desperation as he rose to his feet. Arya met his gaze, her own eyes reflecting a mixture of determination and sorrow.
"No. I won't lose you too," Arya responded, her voice resolute as she turned away, unwilling to risk the safety of her remaining son. With a heavy heart, she joined Spider on the tsurak, preparing to embark on their perilous journey. As they submerged beneath the water's surface, Arya's gaze hardened, her emotions veiled behind a facade of steely determination. She retrieved a spear lodged in a nearby boat, her grip tightening around its shaft as her eyes blazed with a dangerous resolve.
With a silent determination, Arya and Spider swam toward the looming ship, their movements swift and deliberate. Emerging from the water, Arya's senses sharpened as she assessed the situation, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger.
"Where are they?" Arya demanded, her voice cutting through the tension as Spider briefed her on the girls' location. Arya's heart pounded in her chest as she steeled herself for what lay ahead. Arya halted abruptly, sensing danger lurking ahead. She motioned for Spider to stay back, her instincts guiding her forward as she moved with purpose. Quaritch's voice crackled over the communicator, his words laden with malice and deceit. Arya's jaw clenched in anger, her resolve hardening in the face of his threats. "Talk to me, Corporal. This ship's going down... and your girls with it. Your boy didn't have to die. You brought that on yourself," Quaritch's voice taunted, igniting a fierce determination within Arya as she prepared to confront the enemy head-on.
