Lilies Resort Hotel
Evelyn and Maclean got to the conference room and waited till Mr. Osman arrived. He arrived in no time with Kathy which surprised everyone. The meeting began and the voting started with the people in support of the selling of the hotel and the people against it. After the voting , it came to air that Maclean's plan on renovating and opening of his mothers hotel had been approved.
Osman: We're putting our trust in you just like your mother did. Make this hotel stand as it used to be.
[ he nodded, everyone applauded]
After the meeting Mr. Osman and his son spoke with some investors. Evelyn came over to Kathy who smiled on seeing her.
Kathy: Evie... long time. [ she held her son in hand ] Is that your son?
Evelyn: Yes! When we last saw each other wasn't a good one. You've changed but why are you back? I don't know why the pain you caused everyone still feels fresh. You betrayed us all especially my sister, she was your best friend.
Kathy: Evie I never meant to hurt anyone, I made a mistake which I regretted.
Evelyn: Lily was the one with the big heart and forgave you. She even took care of your kids and loved them like hers. [ she cried ] Kathy why?
Maclean interrupted and took his aunt home. Kathy was very worried.
Can's Apartment
Evelyn put her son to sleep and came back to join Maclean at the hall.
Maclean: Are you alright?
Evelyn: Yeah I'm good. I just remembered my sister and how she was betrayed by her best friend and still forgave her. I can't stand her. [ Maclean was quiet ]
Why are you quiet?
Maclean: Nothing, mum never made me hate her because she's the mother of my siblings. All this happening is dad's fault, he caused all of this. I doubt whether we both can ever understand each other. [ he hissed ] I accept for Kathy to be around now, she's the only person who can take care of the kids. I trust she can [ Evelyn nodded ]
