Anderson's Residence
Miss Harriet served Felix dinner in his room as he has decided to avoid everyone. She noticed his room had been scattered, she dropped the tray and bent down to tidy the place.
Felix: Don't mum, I'll clean up my own mess. [ she didn't give in and went on] please stop I don't need any of this.
Harriet: So tell me what you want then, I can't stand you hurting yourself.
Felix:  I want things to go back to normal, when we lived happily. When dad was around and I had a good and caring brother. Sometimes I wonder what changed, why couldn't you forgive him? [ she shed tears ] I know he made a mistake which he apologised for, why was it so hard to let go mum.
Harriet:  You don't know how hard I tried to forgive him. But thinking of how my only daughter is not with us anymore, the pain increases.
Felix:  It was a mistake from his side but mum you know he never wished for Trisha to die. He was only trying to correct her.
Harriet:  To the extent that she chose to commit suicide. I can never forget that. She was our only daughter, the first child.[ he consoled her as she sobbed badly ]
                    Jackson's Residence
Anna was on her laptop with Mondy beside her, she was fixing her makeup to go out.
Anna:  Why's Cephas and Louisa not back? It's noon already.
Mondy:  Relax sissy, they are together so nothing bad will happen. Besides they went out to have fun, maybe they've been taken away by enjoyment.
Anna:  Fine... [ she proceeded with her work, her phone gave an alert. It was from Victor and Mondy saw it ]
                 Message:  Can we meet and talk, I have something I need to tell you.
Anna wondered what it was about.
Mondy:  Your shy boyfriend, I think he's gathered courage to propose.
Anna:  Shut up, Victor is just a friend and I already told him I had no interest in dating him. It must be something else.
Mondy:  Don't be naive, that guy is crazy about you.
Anna:  You know what, say whatever you want to. I'm out off here. [ she packed her things and went inside]
              Coleman's Cottage
Anna arrived there in the evening when Victor let her inside. His brother Lawrence and granny Bernice was present. He offered her a seat after she greeted everyone.
Lawrence:  Always glowing...
Anna:  Thanks Larry, you've not changed. You're always sweet.
Bernice:  You're soo beautiful my dear, no wonder you caught the eyes of my grandson. [ Anna smiled]
I actually asked him to invite you over, I wanted to see my future grand daughter in law. [ Anna turned to Victor in shock]
Lawrence:  He's crazy about you and intends to marry you.
Anna:  Marriage? I'm not ready for that. [ Victor was hurt ] Please I think there's a misunderstanding. Victor and I aren't a couple, we're just friends just like Larry and I.
Bernice:  Oh really, I think we had a misunderstanding. He spoke to me about you so I thought of meeting you.
Lawrence:  But Anna he likes you.
Anna:  I'm sorry but I need to talk to him privately. Vicky can we please talk outside.
Bernice:  Don't worry, dear please let's give them space to talk. [ They left them alone and went into their rooms]
Anna:  What's the meaning of this? Vicky I thought we understood each other already.
Victor:  Anna I only wanted to show you how serious I am about you.
Anna:  And you think I don't understand your feelings. We've been friends for long and I understand you even better. I'm not ready to be in a relationship with you that's all .
Victor:  Why? Because I'm poor and I don't match your standard? Or because I can't afford all those fancy things you like? [ she shook] Anna tell me why? Always you chose Reginald because I wasn't worth you. Despite how you made me feel like an outcast I still loved and respected you.
Anna:  You don't know what you're saying. I've never underrated you before. You and Reggie have always been my best friends and I treat you equally.
Victor:  You make me feel I'm not worth you. You know riches can't make you happy.
Anna:  Is that what you think of me? I love riches? Vicky you don't know me. [ she shed tears] I expected you to do better but today you've given me the worse insult of my life.
Victor: Anna... [ she took her purse ]
Anna:  I'll like to take my leave, thanks for inviting me here. [ she left, he was devastated. Lawrence came out of hiding]
Lawrence:  Gees man you messed up. You shouldn't have said those hurtful things to her.
Victor:  I don't know what came over me, I was hurt by her continuous rejection. What should I do now?
Lawrence:  You know better. [ he nodded and sat down heart broken]
