Three Months Later
Lilies Resort Hotel
It was the grand opening of the hotel, Maclean invited the Jackson's to join in the celebration. At the function Mr. Osman and his new wife were present, Maclean introduced the Jackson's to his aunt Evelyn.
Evelyn: The caring nurse, oh I didn't get the opportunity to thank you the other time.
Mondy: Don't worry ma'am, I only did my job. [ she smiled and turned to Anna]
Evelyn: I think we've met before.
Anna: Oh my mine, how can a nanny be this young and beautiful. [ Evelyn recalled]
Evelyn: Wow Anna, the young nanny. Such a small world, you girls are sisters.
Maclean: Yeah and that's Louisa and Cephas. [ they said hi ]
Evelyn: Thank you all for coming, I really appreciate. [ Anna also met Mr. Osman who introduced Kathy to her. Kathy was soo excited to finally meet her as to how the kids spoke about her.]
Louisa sat with Mondy and Cephas as they had juice. Mondy stared at Maclean.
Louisa: You still like him after he turned you down? Come on sissy, you deserve better.
Cephas: Why are you obsessed when it comes to a guy? Please just stop this, the last time with Reggie you almost destroyed the love between you and Anna. I'm wondering what you will do if it was any ordinary girl.
Mondy: You talk like you were here when it happened, don't judge based on what you've heard. And why are you invading in my private life? Please you all just stay away.
Maclean stopped Anna to talk to her.
Maclean: I want to thank you, this very day wouldn't have whole if not by your help. Your company did a great job with the furnitures.
Anna: I'm happy you chose to do business with us. You've done a great job and your dad is really proud of you.
Maclean: I hope he is...[ they turned to his direction and he had a broad smile on his face]
Anna: Despite he not voicing out I know he is. He's as proud as everyone is. [ he stared at her, Mondy was still watching them ] What?
Maclean: You're special, you make our worries fade away with your encouraging words. Everyone will be happy to have you in their lives. Thanks for being there for my family. [ he hugged her to her surprise]
Anna: What was that for? People are watching. [ he apologised. Anna came to sit with her family as they got ready to listen to Maclean's speech]
Jackson's Residence
That day around midnight, Anna got up to the kitchen to get water and saw Mondy still sitting at the parlour. She came to her afterwards.
Anna: Mondy are you okay?
Mondy: Yeah I'm good, I'm not feeling sleepy so I decided to sit here.
Anna: Okay then I'll sit with you then till you feel sleepy but let me make some hot tea for us. [ she agreed. They sat quietly having the tea when Anna decided to ask her a question]
Anna: Mmm I wanted to know if you still liked Maclean?
Mondy: Why do you ask?
Anna: I'm just curious.
Mondy: No I don't, I'm a Jackson and I don't fight for love. Mistakes are not meant to be repeated again. And recently I realised what I had for him was just a crush. I barely know him and not his real self. I only liked his face I guess. [ they laughed]
Anna: I'm happy you're maturing, always remember that your self respect first. [ she nodded] I said self respect not ego.
Mondy: Anna... [ she laughed] Not funny!
Anna: Sorry sorry...
Mondy: I'm feeling sleepy now, good night.
Anna: Good night... [ she smiled as she left ]
GLEAR FURNITURES
Anna was in her office when Cephas knocked and entered.
Cephas: Bella your friend is here to see you? I don't remember the name but he attended your birthday party.
Anna: Victor!
Cephas: Yeah should I let him in? [ she nodded]
Victor entered her office and she had an angry face on. She offered him a seat.
Anna: What do you want here?
Victor: I came to see you and apologise for my mistake. Anna you know I can never hurt you.
Anna: But you did, you said all those hurtful things to me.
Victor: I'm sorry please forgive me. I'll make things right and respect your decision. I can't loose such a lovely friend. [ she smiled, they heard a scream. They rushed outside and it was Louisa on the floor. She was in pain ]
Anna: What happened to her?
Flora: She slipped and fell on her stomach. [ Anna cried, Cephas came over and they took her to the hospital]
Hope Hospital
The doctors attended to her as they all waited outside, Mondy and Najat were also present.
Mondy: Anna what really happened?
Anna: I don't know, she slipped and fell on her stomach.
Flora: I'm sorry this is my fault, I spilled the water. I went to get a mob and came back to meet the incident.
Mondy: Are you psycho? How can you be this careless?
Cephas: Enough Rosemond, it was an accident which she didn't mean for it to happen. [ Flora cried] Why are you making a big deal out of it.
Mondy: Why are you supporting her? The pregnant little girl is in pain because of her...
Anna: Mondy stop it, no one meant for this to happen. You can blame me also because I couldn't take care of her.
Mondy: I guess I'm the only one who cares about her, you all are hypocrites. [ she went to sit on the bench. Cephas consoled Flora. Victor had Anna sit down and relax ]
Victor: Don't worry she'll be fine. [ she nodded]
Anna: I'm sorry for taking your time.
Victor: It's not a bother, you need me so I'm not going anywhere. [ the doctors finally came out to them]
Mondy: Doc how's my sister?
Abdul: She's okay but she lost her child. [ they all are worried] she had a miscarriage.
Mondy was really upset at everyone for not taking actions against Flora. Anna informed the Anderson's about the incident and the baby as well. They came over to the hospital as soon as possible.
Jackson's Residence
Louisa was discharged the following morning and brought home. Cephas carried her inside her room as they all sat with her.
Anna: Are you okay Pancakey?
Louisa: I'm fine. I started dreaming as a young mother and how I'm going to love my child.
Mondy: And all your dreams has been shattered for no reason.
Cephas: What is your problem? It was an accident.
Anna: Mondy please stop the drama. Everything happens for the best, this might be a second chance for her to start afresh.
Louisa: Mondy please it's fine. Flora will never hurt me and the circumstances surrounding the issue isn't her intention. I know her very well trust me.
Mondy: Okay I get it but why did he have to side with her like that.
Anna: I guess you're the only person who doesn't know yet because you don't work in the furniture shop. Flora is my secretary and Cephas's girlfriend. [ Mondy turned to him in shock ]
Louisa: Yes and she's been a great friend to me as well. Trust me you'll like her.
Mondy: Whatever... [ she left as they all laughed]
Anna: She can be difficult sometimes but her heart is so soft ]
