Hope Hospital
Mondy, Najat and Dr. Abdul had lunch together at the canteen. Mondy was off. Abdul put a stethoscope to her heart.
Mondy: What are you doing?
Abdul: Checking your heartbeat and it's beating faster. [ he became serious] Mondy what else do you want in life?
Najat: Still not over the handsome rude gentleman.
Mondy: It's not easy, I get this insecurity when I see him closer to Anna always. She always gets everything because she's beautiful.
Abdul: And who said you're not beautiful. Eventually every guy in this hospital is crushing on you but you've decided not to see them. Who ever said you're not beautiful lied to you.
Najat: You always complain on being fat. My friend that's because you compare yourself to Anna who's too slim. Your body is soo perfect.
Mondy: I know but you can't deny Anna is more pretty.
Abdul: For that I won't lie, I even plan on making her my second wife. [ Najat frowned as Mondy laughed]
Najat: Oh so you want a second wife. Just try any move and you'll hear from me.
Abdul: Come on my wife, I only said that to make her laugh. I don't look at any other lady apart from you. You're soo beautiful.
Mondy: Love birds, please excuse me. [ she left ]
GLEAR FURNITURES( Three weeks later)
Cephas met Victor when returning from the workshop. He greeted him politely.
Victor: It's Anna around?
Cephas: Yeah but she's a little busy.
Victor: Oh I called and she said I could come over. But don't worry I'll come back later, can you please let her know I was here.
Cephas: Sure... [ As he turned to leave Anna called from behind]
Anna: Hey... why are you leaving?
Victor: I learnt you were busy so I didn't want to disturb you. [ She turned to Cephas and back to him]
Anna: Yeah but I'm done now. Let's go to my office. [ she shook at Cephas before leaving. They had a seat at her office]
Victor :  Did your cousin try to send me away on purpose?
Anna:  No why would he do that, I'm coming from a meeting. Cephas wouldn't do anything like that.
Victor:  Okay if you say so. I wanted to ask you out for dinner. We don't get to talk like when we both were in Osman's. [ she smiled slightly] Are you free?
Anna:  Yeah, I'm done for the day so we can go. I would like to take the bills in appreciation of you being there for me the other time.
Victor:  No you won't do that, we're friends and I'm always going to be there for you.
Anna:  Thanks Vicky.... [ they left after she finished packing]
                           Queen's Restaurant
They arrived at the place, Anna received a text from Maclean wanting to know where she was but she lied that she was on her way home. Victor noticed her tensed face.
Victor:  I'm sorry for bringing you to such a place, you deserve more than this.
Anna:  Come on I like the place, in fact this is the best restaurant I've ever been to. Anyways I'm not used to going on dates, it's always in the house with my sisters. [ he laughed] Thanks for bringing me here.
Victor:  My pleasure pretty one. [ after dinner, Victor insisted on taking her home but she denied]
                         Jackson's Residence
Anna returned home and to her surprise Maclean was there. Cephas was chatting with him when she arrived. Mondy was not back yet and Louisa was out as well. Cephas left them to talk, she was tensed.
Maclean:  Anna you lied to me. But why?
Anna:  I didn't know you were coming here, I thought you would distance yourself so Mondy wouldn't be suspicious.
Maclean:  I don't care about Mondy, all I care is you lied to me.
Anna:  I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to say to you and how you would feel.
Maclean:  That you went out with another guy who's interested in you. [ she looked down] You know this is the reason why I don't want this relationship to be kept a secret.
Anna:  I know but I need time so I can figure things out. Please...[ she grabbed his face in her hands] Trust me I'll do my whole best possible to make things right. And I'm sorry for lying to you. [ he hissed a sigh of relief]
Maclean:  You're lucky I love you. [ he hugged her ]
Cephas:  Did Cephas tell you about Victor?
Maclean:  Yeah he didn't lie, that guy is obsessed with you. I saw how he looked at you on your birthday. [ she laughed]
Anna:  He's been my friend since high school and he's really dear to me.
Maclean:  I understand... [ they were about kissing when they heard a sound at the door. Najat and Mondy arrived. She was surprised to see him there]
Anna:  Mondy! Naaty!Hey welcome.
Najat:  Thanks Anna.
Mondy: I didn't know you were coming here Mac.
Maclean:  Yeah I came to see Anna. [ Anna stared on] I'm already leaving, bye!! [ he walked away]
Najat:  How rude, Mondy you should close your mind on him. Anna how are you able to stand him? [she stammered]
Anna:  He's cool and good business partner.
Mondy:  Anna he likes you. Everything shows that he's into you. Wait tell me, do you like him as well?
Anna: Mondy
Cephas:  Yes she likes him too but stepping back because of you. She doesn't want you to hate her.
[ Mondy was surprised]
Mondy:  Anna why would you think like that? I told you I would never fight with you over a guy again. I made a mistake before and I've learnt from it. Believe me when I say I won't hurt you anymore. [ Anna cried]
Anna:  I'm sorry, I was so scared.
Mondy:  Now I'm soo angry with you for thinking like that. [ she went inside her room with Najat behind her. Cephas consoled Anna ]
Cephas:  You deserve to be happy so give in this moment. We're strong together remember that.
[ she hugged and held onto him tight ]
   The following morning Anna woke up to make breakfast for everyone. She made a special rice pudding for Mondy. At the table Mondy was all quiet. Louisa hit her under the table to inquire what was wrong but she ignored her.
Cephas:  Anna why don't you take the day off. You have nothing to do there so you can stay home with Mondy. [ she turned to Mondy who was looking away from them ]
Mondy:  Don't worry I have somewhere to go.
Anna:  Mondy please we need to talk.
Mondy:  No in fact I have something to ask you. Is it that you both have feelings for each other or there's something going on between you two.
Anna:  I'll answer all your questions if you agree to hear me out first.
Mondy:  Okay ma'am, as you wish. [ Cephas sighed Anna to be patience]
      When they all had left Anna set the parlour for a movie time. She called Mondy when she was done but she came out all dressed up.
Anna:  Are you going out?
Mondy:  Yes to have with my friends. [ Anna was sad, Mondy put a hand on her shoulder ] Don't be worried sissy but I need time to get over the situation. Forgive me if I'm making it difficult for you but trust me I still love and respect you. [ Anna hugged her, she went on ]
                       Dean's Apartment
Anna rang the doorbell when Maclean came out, she fell into his arms. She was over joyed.
Maclean:  Hey love, what happened? [ he took her inside ]
Anna:  Mondy knows about us now and she's cool. She just needs sometime to get over it. [ he was excited] Now the whole world can know about our love story. [ she kissed him ]
Maclean: I can kiss you in front everyone now, I can call you mine, we can cuddle and...
Anna:  Wait on, your mind must be dirty. But I'm happy we can finally be together.
Maclean:  Forever and ever love... [ they shared a kiss]
