It had been a few days since they met, every morning Kaminari would greet Jiro as she was one of the first people there, afterwards he would greet everyone else. This caught Jiro's eyes as he'd always flirt with girls nearby causing Jiro to think "oh so he's a playboy." Jiro hated those types of people. She suddenly started to act cold towards the blonde just replying with a simple "hm." Or "uh huh" every now and then, strictly avoiding eye contact with the social butterfly. She thought it would be best to stay away from someone who was always thinking of 600 other people when talking to you.
However in her attempts, she realised she can't stay away from him forever, he was in her class after all. Hero training forced them to team up, once all might randomly assigned teams, she deflated slightly. "Hey Jiro! We're a team!" Kaminari walked up to her with a warm smile. "Yeah, I guess we are." She said finally breaking free from her lousy responses.
Jiro also made a few friends of her own during this time, mostly with the girls. Yaoyorozu was the first girl who she connected with, this let Jiro stick with them instead of hang around with kaminari.
On the surface, she seemed to be antisocial and shy as she was never seen starting a conversation. However in reality she was a quip-minded person who always had lots of witty comments to make, she just keeps it in her head from time to time. However she couldn't help but make her new friends laugh.
The screen where the class saw the hero training had no audio playing, therefore they had to get creative when trying to understand what was going on.

Her friends couldn't help but laugh, however, some of the guys were still wary of the girl. Except kaminari.
He decided to join in on her fun too. This excited him, he didn't know she had other traits to her. His curiosity sparked as she kept at it with her dramatics. Jiro didn't mind Kaminari joining in, she didn't realise he was at first, but she and her friends were so lost in the moment she didn't care.

However the fun soon came to a close when it was now Kaminari and Jiro's turn to go into the training grounds. She decided to listen in on where the opposing team was, kaminari on the other hand, decided to just tag along. As Jiro listened kaminari said they should win because of her as apparently they were "it" this made Jiro realise how much of an idiot this guy really was. "You know this isn't hide and seek right?" She said with a confused look "just go upstairs, discharge some electricity." "But they'll find me!" He whined still following the girl. "I just said this isn't hide and seek you know!" They soon were met with a smiling pink face who shouted "hehe found you guys!" "See jiro! I told you they'd come after us!" "Well since you're 'it' why don't you tag them and win." She said sarcastically. Sensing they've made their way to the bomb, she decided to just let them play it out.
After a while of the two running around stupidly, Kaminari unknowingly touched the bomb, resulting in them winning.

Jiro watched kaminari get scolded afterwards even if they had just won. Jiro couldn't help but chuckle under her breath. Seeing this he walked upto the girl "what's so funny! The number 1 hero just scolded me!" He said with an embarrassed expression. "Well that's what you get for not paying attention to the rules" she laughed as she walked out of the training grounds, kaminari still tagging along behind her. "I thought the rules were hide and seek!" He added. "Mixed in with tag?" She asked "yeah sorta.." "Wow you a really are an idiot kaminari." "What! Aw Jiro don't be like that, it's still our 1st week at UA! I can still do better!"
Instructions from the teachers made their way into their ears, alluding to Jiro that she should end their short conversation.
"Yeah well, you weren't that bad, we won because of you!" She said in attempts to comfort him. "Anyway I think Mr. Aizawa wants us to get changed for our next class. See ya kaminari." She waved while making her way to the change rooms. Kaminari waves back and thinks of her comforting words, smiling to himself.
Kaminari found a new interest, and that interest was Kyoka jiro.
