"What do you mean you didn't invite her over?" She asked, he shifted his head, lightly gazing over at her. "Well she kind of invited herself over you know?" Jiro's face flushed a red hue of annoyance.
"Why wouldn't you invite her over? Isn't she your girlfriend!?" Kamnari tried to respond, but was cut off by Jiro's rant. "Weren't you the one to ask her out? You were so excited that she became your girlfriend, so it was obvious why she looked so annoyed and invited herself over, she was waiting for you to invite her yourslef-" Kamninari cut her off, in a somewhat pissed off . Why was she scolding him? Why didn't she understand? He really thought Jiro of all people would understand him.
"You don't know her like I do!" He blurted out in furstratration, silencing Jiro, his enexpected outburst shocked her, she didn't understand why she was so mad.
"I didn't want to invite her over." The shocking sincerity in his voice made her pause. She let him continue, his voice airy and light however shaky from the embarrassment.
"I don't like inviting people over. There's nothing to see..." He said, the irony of the large house surrounding him.
"I want to say that you're delusional since this house is HUGE-" She sarcastically remarked accidentally being cut off.
"Wow Jiro..." He rolled his eyes and turned away, folding his arms in a fit of angst.
"Wait, You didn't let me finish!" She remarked, getting his attention back, she leaned in.
"I see that you don't have much connections here. As if you're detached from any family, and I think that's what you mean. But you do g have to be embarrassed by that at all!" She said sternly, hoping her point to be true and impactful.
Kaminari's mouth opened wide out of shock. "She understands me?" Before he could speak again, she continued about his girlfriend.
"So, if you need help reconnecting with her, I'll try my best as your..." She hesitated for a moment, a jealous tension ripped her to shreds, but she managed to spit it out. "Your friend."
Before she finished he was close to a flowery feeling, he didn't understand why, but it all drifted away in disappointment once she just left it as friendship. He was conflicted by this thought, making him just follow through her offer. He nodded, taking her lead.
"Good." She said bluntly and backed away. As if her feelings began to fade, maybe this was how she could get over him!
"So... Shiozaki what does she like? She seems to uh have a lot of prayers, must be religious."
Kaminari scoffed to himself "yeah, a woman of the Bible..." Jiro ignored the sarcasm, thinking it was an inside joke between the couple."Well, is there anything besides that? I doubt I can help you with religion..." She asked. Kaminari didn't want to tell her he had given up on that girl, but he didn't want their conversation to end. It was nice she cared, it was nice she cared. He thought this could be the closest thing he'd have with her, seeing as how he didn't think she ever liked him that way.
"Well... she likes uh." He cleared his breath. "Very elaborate gifts..."
Jiro tilted her head. "Be more specific?" He sighed.
"I guess... stuff with loads of value?" Jiro nodded and pondered for a bit. Kaminari didn't wait for her input. "But what about you? What do you like?" He asked trying to shift the attention onto her.
"Hm? Why would you ask that, me and Shiozaki are totally different people..." she responded bluntly as she continued to think.
Kaminari but his tongue. What was he even trying to do. He sounded so desperate.
"Well I guess if you still don't know her that well, maybe get her a bag?" Her suggestion flared his attention. "A bag? Is that what you're into?" She shook her head.
"Nah. I use the same 3 bags depending on where I'm going." She chuckled. His heart began to pulse a sudden warmth at the sensation of her smile.
He nodded and covered his face. "Well sure, if that's gonna help me then I guess I'll do that..."
"Mmhm... now I suggest you apologise to her, she probably just wanted to be with you today." Jiro said, getting off his bed.
"Yeah..." he noticed her grabbing her things, he wanted to stop her but he didn't know what to make out of anything.
"Wait..." She paused at his remark. "I-"
She stood there waiting, but Kaminari couldn't seem to grasp what he actually wanted to say.
"I'll take you home."
Jiro's eyes widened. That feeling. It was back again.
Her head felt numb, trying to brush it off. I'm a fit of discipline, she did. "No it's fine, just show me back to the exit haha, this place is huge."
Upon hearing those words, something sunk in Kaminari, as if a heavy flow of water sopped up around his heart.
"Sure."
