Saving Aura

Five

After school we end up going to this small little diner by Reid's house.

"How do you survive high school again?" I ask the group. Being Quinn, Nick and Reid.
"You don't," Nick answers simply.
"What he means is that you don't live your life until college," Quinn says, trying to explain it to me. I nod my head, like I understand.
"Wait a minute. Reid, you said that you would explain how you know her and whatnot. And why she looks so much like Princess Aura Of The Southern Tover?" Nick asks.
"I'll tell you whenver we get to my house," Reid says cautiously. I'm glad that he's so cautious about my princess secret. But I trust Nick and Quinn. They seem like they would keep a secret.
"Well then let's go!" Quinn decides, leaves a tip, and gets up.
"Okay then," I say and laugh a little.
"She's a little bit of a control freak Aura," Nick tells me on our way out.
"That's good to know."

"So what's the catch?" Quinn asks once we reach Reid's room.
Reid sighs the begins. "She is Princess Aura Of The Southern Tover. I was going on a hike and I made it into her kingdom and apparently, they were at war so they sent Aura home with me to keep her safe from the attacks. Her brother and the rest of her family are back in the kingdom," Reid explains.
"I knew it!" Quinn screams but then quickly covers her mouth, even though no one is home.
"Sorry," she whispers.
"It's fine. I trust you both with my secret. And I hope that once I leave, you all will come to visit, even if I have only known you for two days," I say. They both smile.
"Well that's good," Nick says.
"What?" I ask.
"That your the princess. You'll have a lot of dresses for prom. If you go, I mean," Nick jokes.
"Prom? What's a prom?" I ask.
"It's like a ball. You do have those, right?" Reid explains. I nod my head and smile.
"Can I go and see your dresses?" Quinn asks.
"Sure. I only brought ten I think," I says and get up from the from the floor in Reid's room and lead Quinn into my room or the guest room and pull out all of my luggage out from under the bed to show her.
"I have this one. Basically my everyday dress with this tiara," I say and show her a red and orange dress and a golden and red crown to match.
"Wow. They actually make stuff like this? I thought it was just in fairy tales."

After Nick and Quinn leave, Reid insists that I call my parents to tell them that everything is great. So, I do and everything seems to be fine there also; which I'm glad of. After that, Reid teaches me how to ride a skateboard and apparently, I'm pretty good. He also explains where and when prom is. It's supposed to be in a week I think. After we get done with that, we go inside and eat something called ice cream. Man, we defiantly need that back at the kingdom!
