"Reid. S-She doesn't remember us," Quinn says, holding in dearly to Nick's arm.

I stand there, unable to say a thing.

"Reid. Dude, they said that we have to go," Nick says and touches my shoulder. This, instantly pulls me back to reality, bringing me face to face with a white coated doctor.

"I assume that you all aren't family, so I'll ask you politely to leave," the doctor says.

"D-d-does she remember anything?" I ask, for the first time in what feels like forever.

"We have to run some tests first, but as of this moment, no, Aura Bell does not remember anything."

"Okay, thank you," Nick answers for me. Quinn grabs my wrist and pulls me out into the parking lot and into the car.

Quinn calls Aura's parents for me; since I am mentally somewhere else.

"Okay, thank you," she says into the phone and hangs up, handing the phone back to me.

"What'd they say?" Nick asks.

"Nothing much, just that they'd be down here as soon as possible," Quinn mumbles and sighs. I could feel that something was on her mind, and knowing Quinn, she'd spill in about a few seconds.

"I-I just can't help but feel that this is all my fault," Quinn says and breaks down in tears.

"Quinn," I say. "You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't know that there was a car that came to an abrupt stop in front of you two months ago. You had no idea. And don't even try to argue because you can ask anyone and everyone and they'll all say the same thing. 'It wasn't Quinn's fault.'" I say to her.

"Thanks, Reid," she says and gives me a sad smile.

"What phone number did you guys give to the doctor again?" Nick asks.

"I gave them mine and her brother's," I answer and stare out the window while Nick drives.

"Okay good. Because I want to know before Xavier calls us," Nick answers.

Silence fills the car until Quinn finally says something.

"Hey guys, do you ever wonder who was in that car that I crashed into in November?" She asks.

"Huh. I've never thought of that," I say.

"What if it was another reckless teen? Even worse, what if it was Tori? Then that explains why in the world she hates us so much," Quinn brainstorms and sniffles.

"Yeah. What if it was her? Quinn, you make a good point," Nick says.

"Well, we don't know for sure. It was just a thought," Quinn answers. The car pulls in front of my house and I crawl out of the back seat and onto the grass and lawn of my own front yard. I wave to Nick and Quinn and walk inside.

"Hey Reid your- hey? What's up?" She asks me, coming over and sits down in the couch where I am. I feel like I haven't talked to Missy in forever. She's been out with her friends and I've been out with mine.

"Aura woke up today," I say and stare at my hands.

"That's fantastic!!" Missy yells into the empty house; mom and dad must not be home from work yet.

"But she uh.... Doesn't remember anything," I whisper.

"A-Anything?" Missy asks, sitting down on her spot on the couch again. Slowly, I nod my head.

"Well then, we need to help her remember," Missy says.

"Do you know how hard it would be to convince her that she's a princess?" I say to missy, turning to her .

"Yeah, but you're Reid Marks. You'll find away to make her remember. Why do you think you have such great friends that will always be at your side? Because you made them remember why they were your friends in the first place. Dude, you have gift. Use it," Missy says and walks up the stairs.

I sit there for a while, letting Missy's words sink in.

She's right. I need to help her remember.

A/N: this chapter is super short- just like the last ones- but I think I'm saving more for the boom if I do shorter but more updated chapters.

Question:

A) if there was one thing for me to change about the book, what would it be and how much would it affect the book?

B) how is the book so far and who's your favorite character?
