"But if you mix this with this....." Mr. Bellini says. Monday's are always tough, but ever since Aura woke up from her coma and can't remember a thing, I haven't been able to keep a good focus on anything. Even when Nick and Quinn are talking to me, they have to shake me to pull me back to reality.

What's going on?

"Mr. Marks, I presume that you are paying attention to this prime lesson that will have an exam following this extensive week," Mr. Bellini says.

"Uh- ye-yes sir- um," I sputter out, not in my usual Reid way. Mainly. Because I'm trying to think of a way to help her remember and more importantly believe.

"So, I've been thinking," I say to Quinn and Nick as we sit down for lunch.

"Uh-oh," Quinn mumbled and laughs.

"No, seriously. I talked to Missy last night and she said that we should help her remember who she is and why she's so important to us and to Exquire and to her parents and to the world. Do you guys agree?" I spill to my friends.

"Wait. So, we are the ones who are trying to save her?" Quinn asks.

"Exactly. I call it Project Saving Aura," I say.

"Project Saving Aura. I like that," Nick agrees.

"So, when do we start?" Quinn asks.

"Whenever we can," I say and smile. "So, I was thinking that we could go to the library after school to try and see what the best way to retrieve their memory is."

"I wish I could help you, dude. But I promised my mom that I wouldn't fail this test," Nick says and takes another bite of his French fries.

"Oh and I have made a decision!" Quinn says excitedly. "I'm trying out for the Varsity Cheerleading team!"

"That's great! When are the tryouts?" I ask, praying I'll have someone to go to the library with."

"Funny story. It's after school today....." She says and takes four bites of her salad at once.

"Okay so I'll go by myself then. Not biggie," I say and shrug.

"Well, good luck and text us if you find anything," Quinn says and slings her book bag over her shoulder, hitting Nick in the face.

"You're a real pain Quinn Darby. You know that?" Nick says, with one hand over his eye.

"Oh trust me Nicholas, I know," Quinn says, then smiles and walks out of the lunch room.

I walk into the library of the school and sit down at a computer. I throw my book bag on the empty desk behind me and start by searching

How to get people to remember you after memory loss

Millions of websites pop up, none that seem to have the answer I'm looking for. I wish that my friends we here. But sadly, it's just me. I sigh and rub my eyes. Millions of websites, none havering the answer I want. Maybe I should just try one of these. So, that's what I do. I print off copies of the different websites and paper clip them together.

One of these has to work, right?

"Hey honey you're home late." The kitchen smells of garlic and pasta.

"Just doing some research for Aura. There's probably no way to tell her that she's a princess, but we'll have to try- right?" I say and sit down at the counter.

"It's worth a shot," mom says, stirring the pasta. "But, I think you should leave the whole 'daughter of a king and queen' business to her parents. That's their job, too."

"Right, right. I knew that. I just thought that... We could help a little," I say and being reading through some of the websites articles I printed off. Most of them were about long-term memory loss, or being born with amnesia.

"Hey mom in going to head up to my room and study for a little bit," I say and grab my backpack off of the floor.

"Okay sweetie," she says, not even looking up from her bowl of pasta.

TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER

"Hey Reid, honey?"

"Hmm?" I start and close my laptop tabs.

"I just got an email from Mr. Bellini."

"Yeah?" I say and look through my notes, only half paying attention to what she's saying.

"You're failing AP science," she says and opens my door.

"Okay-wait. What?" I instantly look up from my notes to her. She hands her phone to me to read the email.

To the parents of Reid Marks.

I'm regretful to announce that your son is failing my class. If he slips up on the exams tomorrow, there will be no choice but to pull him out of my AP science class, and place him in another class.

Please, feel free to email me about a parent teacher conference at any point. You can email me back about a meeting to see what dates work best at

Best remarks, David Bellini.

"Did you know about the exam that you have tomorrow? I'm hoping that that was what you were up her studying for. I understand that a very close friend of yours doesn't even know your name, let alone hers, but grades come first I this house, do you understand me?"

"Yes ma'am," I say quietly. She walks out of the room and I hear her footsteps trail down the stairs.

How could I be failing my best subject?

Hey everyone!! Sorry it's been so long for a chapter, I've been really busy planning other stories and writing The Habits (which you should totally go and check out if you haven't and possibly vote for it in the Wattys 2016!!)

This chapter is short and not very well written, so it will probably be edited sometime soon!!!
