After a few more minutes, Ezra had fully finished stopping the bleeding and was about to finish bandaging my leg to make sure it was properly protected and could heal. Ezra spoke up once more. "That should do it, do you feel any pain in your leg now?"

I shook my head.

Ezra finished wrapping up my leg with the bandages and then stood up, he looked down at me as he spoke up. "Can you try to move your leg a bit now? Just to make sure that everything is fine."

I moved my leg as I stood up on it.

Ezra smiled as he saw that I was able to put some weight on it. Ezra spoke up once more, he sounded a bit relieved. "Okay, that's good... can you try to walk on it?"

I limped slightly but my movement was okay.

Ezra smiled when he saw that I was still able to walk on it, despite the limp. "Okay, that's good... you'll just have to take things slow for the next few days to make sure you heal properly."

Hours went by, it was around about 2 am. I was awake as I couldn't sleep. I shared the shack with Ezra. I walked over to his bed to see if he was awake.

Ezra was currently lying down on his bed, he wasn't asleep yet but he was staring up at the ceiling. Ezra looked over at me when I approached him and he spoke up softly. "Hey there, can't sleep?"

I shook my head and all of a sudden I started to cry.

Ezra sat up really quickly when he saw that I started to cry and he pulled me immediately into a hug, keeping me close to him as he spoke softly. "Hey, hey, what's wrong? What's bothering you?"

I held onto him while crying. "All I can hear is those people screaming... from the attack of the creatures..."

Ezra kept hugging me tightly as he spoke up, he sounded pretty worried to hear about this. "Hey-... it's okay..." Ezra spoke softly as he tried to comfort me in any way he could. "You're safe, you don't have to worry about those screams and those people anymore..."

"Each time I close my eyes that is what I can hear..." I kept crying as I cuddled into his body.

"I get it..." Ezra softly rubbed my back as he spoke, he was really trying his best to comfort me and ease my mind. "Just try to take deep breaths... It's all in the past now, the only thing that matters is you and your safety, don't worry... alright?"

Ezra was still rubbing my back as he kept speaking, he was still hugging me tightly and he still sounded very concerned and sympathetic. "Just keep taking deep breaths, focus more on the sounds of my breathing than on the sound of those screams... listen to my breathing, listen to my heartbeat, focus on that."

I placed my hand on his chest as I started to settle down from his voice.

Ezra was glad to hear that I was finally starting to calm down from his voice, he kept speaking to me softly. "That's good... just keep listening to my breathing..."

Ezra continued to talk to me, slowly lowering his voice to a whisper. His hand was still rubbing my back slowly and his heartbeat was slowing down in conjunction with mine.

Ezra was still whispering to me, his voice had become very soft and calming. Everything about his tone was designed to help me relax and ease my mind. Ezra's other hand moved around to the nape of my neck, starting to rub it in gentle circles.

I started to feel safer with Ezra, especially when he showed his care towards me at that moment. I cuddled into his chest.

Ezra continued to rub my back and the nape of my neck as he was still speaking to me in that calming voice, he also had his other arm wrapped around my waist, which was making me feel even more safe. Ezra spoke up again quietly, his voice sounded even more gentle than before. "Just keep listening to my heartbeat, it's beating slowly, slow and steady."

Ezra continued rubbing the nape of my neck with his one hand, while his other kept rubbing my back. Ezra kept his other arm wrapped around me as I was now fully cuddled against his chest. Ezra's arm was also wrapped around my waist, which made me feel even more secure, while his other arm was rubbing my back. Ezra spoke up again. "I'm here for you... You don't have to be afraid, I'll take care of you..."

Hours later, Ezra and I were asleep in his bed as the sunlight was now coming through. I cuddled into his side as I was still asleep.

Ezra was still asleep too and he had his arm wrapped around me, keeping you close to him in his sleep. Ezra was breathing in and out slowly as he remained sleeping through the sunrise. His chest was slowly rising and falling with every breath he took, he still looked very peaceful despite him sleeping through the sun coming up.

After a few hours, the sunlight had now fully risen and the room was bathed in light. Ezra started to stir as he was waking up, he slowly opened his eyes and rubbed his eyes a little bit. Ezra saw me lying asleep next to him and he quietly smiled. Ezra was careful not to wake me as he continued to smile at me. Ezra began to gently rub my hair, he was also still hugging me tightly. Ezra spoke up quietly, still whispering. "Morning..."

I was still asleep, my head was resting on his chest.

Ezra smiled more as I stayed asleep, he enjoyed the view of me resting peacefully on his chest. Ezra gently leaned down to kiss my forehead. Ezra pulled me close to him again, keeping me cuddled against his chest. Ezra continued to speak quietly to me. "You look so peaceful when you sleep..."

After a few moments, Ezra kept rubbing my head, he still had his arm wrapped around me, which made me feel even more protected. Ezra's breathing was still slow and peaceful as he spoke quietly to me. "I'm glad you got some sleep, just keep on sleeping as long as you need to..."
