Hours later, I walked around the base to get some things for Ezra. I walked into a storage room to look for a box. I kept walking until I felt someone push me onto the wall, it was one of the men who was envious of Ezra and me. He grabbed me aggressively and I couldn't move. I was terrified.
Ezra was off with the other hunting team members outside, he was standing there having a chat while the others were telling some pretty amusing stories. He stopped talking as he began to hear a rather rough and loud argument coming from somewhere within the base. He heard it was coming from the storage area, so he broke away from the group and headed in that direction to investigate what was going on.
As Ezra neared the source of the noise, he saw two figures inside of the storage area as they stood face to face, they were in the middle of an intense argument. Ezra saw one of the men angrily gripping my shoulder as I looked up at them with fear inside of my eyes. Ezra quickly realized that this was one of the men who was jealous of the time I and Ezra spent together, Ezra's rage started to instantly build up.
As Ezra saw this, he quickly broke into a full run right towards the two of us. Ezra didn't wait for a second longer as he approached the man who was holding me by my shoulder, there was a lot of speed and pure rage behind his actions as his eyes locked with the men's. Ezra reached out and grabbed his wrist forcefully, he then yanked him away from me.
As Ezra forcefully grabbed the man's wrist, he yanked him away from me. The man reacted violently as if he was taken by surprise by Ezra's sudden action towards him, he stumbled a bit back as he was quickly ripped away from me. Ezra was now standing in between me and the man, his anger was very visible in his expression. Ezra's eyes remained locked onto the man as he glared at him, his grip around the man's wrist was still fairly tight.
Once Ezra was now staring down at the man, his rage started to slowly simmer down as he remained silent for a moment. The man was glaring right back at Ezra, he was now trying to act all tough and intimidating but Ezra's presence alone was very frightening. The man didn't dare to say anything at that point, he knew that Ezra was not the person to mess with and he kept his silence.
The man now tried to tug his wrist free from Ezra's grip, but Ezra's grip around his wrist was tight enough to keep him from freeing his wrist from his grasp. Ezra was no longer as angry as he was just a bit ago, but he remained silent as he continued to keep his gaze right on the man. Ezra's grip on the man's wrist remained strong, he didn't loosen it at all. Ezra remained locked into his position standing in between me and the man, he didn't let up his glare for a second or inch.
The man was starting to feel the physical pain in his wrist as Ezra continued to maintain a tight grip on his wrist. The man winced a little bit as he felt the pain, he now felt even more scared as he was unable to break free from Ezra's grip on his wrist. The man now had a look of fear on his face, he didn't dare to say anything or move in any way whatsoever. Ezra saw the fear on his face and now he felt that he had gotten the point across. He finally loosened his grip and let go of the man's wrist.
The man now tried to take a step back once he was free from Ezra's grip, he was now trying to put as much distance between himself and Ezra as possible. Ezra kept his glare locked onto the man as he saw him step back, it seemed that he had finally gotten the point across. Ezra kept his hands on his hips as he turned his head towards me, he glanced to make sure that I was fine after the event. Ezra's eyebrows were now slightly raised since he hadn't yet seen any injuries on me.
Once Ezra turned his head to look at me, he saw that there seemed to be no visible injuries on my body. Ezra took a sharp inhale of air as he noticed that and he let his gaze roam all over me for a few moments. Ezra's eyes now broke away from me as his gaze switched back to the man, his gaze was still filled with aggression. Ezra let out another sharp inhale of air as he narrowed his eyes into daggers at the man.
Ezra was now back to focusing his glare on the man with such intensity. At this point there were no words needed to be spoken, Ezra was making it clear that he would not tolerate any form of disrespect or intimidation towards me. Ezra continued to stay silent as he stared down at the other man, the man kept his gaze locked right onto Ezra and he was clearly starting to feel a little uneasy with how intense Ezra's stare was.
As Ezra continued to stare aggressively right at the man, he was completely ignoring everything else around him, including the fact that I had left that room. Ezra was still so focused on staring the other man down, making sure the other man wouldn't attempt to lay a finger on me again. It wasn't until he heard me exit that room that his gaze shifted as he looked at where I walked out from.
Ezra kept his gaze focused on the exit from the storage room for a few more moments, as he watched me exit from the room and he saw me walk away. Ezra then turned his head fully towards me as I left. In that instant, Ezra's rage had completely subsided as the intensity in his glare had completely vanished as well. He was now looking at me with nothing but gentle concern and care on his face as I made my way out of the storage room.
