Ezra continued to pound against the door but his efforts were useless as he watched the creatures starting to pounce towards me. When the rocket began to take off, Ezra felt an indescribable mix of emotions. Ezra had failed to save me despite his every effort. Ezra's entire body began to shake, as he was unable to do anything anymore for my protection. A few tears began to make their way down his face. Ezra screamed my name one last time as the rocket continued to take off. I was now lost from Ezra's view.

This event hit Ezra hard. Ezra didn't know how he was going to be able to handle this, and his thoughts became somewhat frantic. Ezra's heart was breaking and he was now left all alone with his thoughts; a situation which he wasn't quite familiar with. Ezra sat silently for a few moments as he processed all of what just occurred. Ezra's thoughts were now all over the place as he felt an overwhelming sense of guilt. Ezra quickly moved his hands to his face to try and wipe away his tears, but more just kept coming.

The tears wouldn't stop coming, and Ezra continued to silently cry. Ezra's stomach started to ache from the overwhelming emotions that he felt. Ezra's guilt felt too much to bear for now, and all he wanted to do was cry. Ezra's heart would not stop breaking as he continued to wipe away his tears. Ezra's eyes were a bit puffy and red now, and he kept trying to focus on breathing slow and steady as he let his emotions out. Ezra's heart ached for me.

Ezra started to become a bit overwhelmed by his emotions. His breathing was coming in quicker and shorter breaths as he continued to cry. Ezra's pain only grew as he thought about the entire situation. Ezra started to become more and more distraught as his hands were now soaked with tears. Ezra looked down at his palms and tried to wipe away his tears one last time as he started to take a bit deeper breaths. Ezra's heart ached for me, his thoughts began to turn to worry.

Ezra still hadn't had the full realization that I was most likely dead, so his hopes of me still being alive seemed to get stronger. Ezra's crying had begun to slow down for a moment, however, he still hadn't fully stopped. Ezra felt an immense amount of despair as his thoughts continued to turn to worry. Ezra's stomach also felt like it was turning, as he was becoming nauseous as well. Ezra tried to continue to breathe in and out slowly, but it was extremely difficult.

Everything that had just happened still seemed like a lie to Ezra, and it was hard to believe. Ezra seemed so shaken up, as he continued to have a rough time coping with all the events. Ezra's hope slowly began to diminish as reality began to set in. Ezra's stomach continued to turn as he let out one last couple of cries. Ezra attempted to take a few more deep breaths. Ezra was now starting to give up his hopes, and the entire situation truly began to hit him.

Ezra's hope that I was still alive was now pretty much lost. Ezra was beginning to be overcome with a massive sense of despair as he let out a final cry. Ezra's stomach was still turning and he continued to feel nauseous. Ezra's throat was starting to dry out as he was letting out all his emotions during this last moment. Ezra didn't want to let out any more cries, but still, a few more tears streamed down his face. Ezra's throat was now getting dry and his sobs were becoming a bit harder to keep in. Ezra was starting to run low on tears.

One of the men spoke up "She saved you, Ezra..."

The words from the other man got Ezra's attention, he quickly became alert and turned to look at the other man who had spoken. Ezra still had tears in his eyes as he listened to the man's response. Ezra's eyes then quickly began to widen at the realization that the man had just stated.

Ezra quickly nodded, as that explanation seemed to be the only logical conclusion. The fact that I had saved him from that situation only seemed to break his heart even more. Ezra hadn't expected it all to end this way, and now it was all hitting him so quickly. Ezra's body felt numb with sadness as tears continued to stream down his face. Ezra remained silent for a bit as his thoughts became overwhelming.

Ezra now started to try and take a bit more deep breaths as the man's words continued to reverberate in Ezra's head. Ezra's stomach continued to feel a bit unwell, though this time it felt more like a deep ache rather than turning. Ezra had lost quite a bit of tears and now there were only a few left to shed. Ezra attempted to wipe at his eyes to get rid of the tears, though more continued to just keep coming.

Ezra's lips slowly turned into a small frown as the realization slowly sunk in. Ezra's tears began to slow down even more but were still streaming down his face a small bit. Ezra's body was beginning to feel really empty now that most of the tears had already come down. Ezra wiped the remaining tears away from his eyes once more, though this time they seemed to be starting to get dry. Ezra had no more emotional tears remaining. Ezra's stomach continued to ache a little bit, though this seemed to be more so due to his emotions than to the nausea.

Ezra sat in silence for the majority of the rocket ride, keeping to himself as he continued to deal with his own internal monologue. Ezra was still in disbelief as to what had just happened and his body was still feeling weak from the emotional and physical distress that he went through just recently. His thoughts continued to remain on me though, and he couldn't take his eyes off the window.

Ezra sat there, staring out the window once more. Ezra began to let out another large sigh of sadness. Ezra couldn't believe that he was heading back home alone. Ezra thought that I should be sitting with him right now, as we both returned home together. Ezra still couldn't believe how it all ended up. Ezra's heart and mind were overwhelmed right now.
