Y/n Pov
Singer House
"You ready for the big showcase tomorrow?" Bobby asks me from across the kitchen table.
"Yeah, just nervous. It's a hard song." I say with a sigh, and take a sip of my coffee.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll do great kid." Bobby says waving a hand. I smile sheepishly and take another sip of my coffee.
"I just wish my mom could be there." I say deflated.
"I know, and I'm sorry she can't be. Are your aunt and cousin coming?" He asks raising a brow.
"No. No, after everything that happened with my dad and uncle, they took their sides. Still do." I say leaning my elbow on the table and propping my head up with my hand.
"I'm sorry hon. But what you gotta understand is that you didn't do anything wrong. What they did was.. wrong don't even begin to describe it." Bobby says shaking his head.
"Yeah.. I just.. Part of me feels like it was my fault for letting it go on for so long." I say looking down into my near empty mug.
"Hey. None of that was your fault. Not one damn bit of it. You hear me?" Bobby says harshly.
"Yeah, I hear you. I just miss the bond we had before it all started. I mean, I miss my old dad and Uncle T." I say, feeling reminiscent.
"I can understand that. I really can. But after how they treated you. Hell. I should've just killed em dead." He says clenching his mug.
"But then you'd be in jail. And I would've never got out, I would've never got to know you or Sam or Dean or Cas." I say looking up at him, his face softens.
"Yeah, yeah I know. You're out of that now, and you ain't ever going to have to see them again. I promise you that." Bobby says firmly.
"I know Bobby, and I really am thankful for it, everyday." I say giving him a reassuring smile.
"I know you are darlin. And so am I, and the boys. They really do care about ya." He says giving me a smile back.
"Well being my best friends, I should hope so." I say laughing. "What time are they coming anyway?" I ask looking out the kitchen window.
"They said around dinner time so about 4 hours or so. You guys going to camp out again?" Bobby asks.
"I don't know, I mean the weather's good but they've been driving all day." I say shrugging.
"Alright, well you know where the camping stuff is. And don't make the fire too big, I don't need the fire marshal comin up again." He says with an eyebrow raised.
"Hey now, it was Dean's idea to add lighter fluid. Me and Sam warned him." I say laughing and raising my hands. Bobby just chuckles and shakes his head.
"Yeah I'm sure you two were real innocent in all of it." He says with a smile.
"Well, on that note." I say laughing and standing up. "I'm going to go shower and maybe watch some tv or something. You need help with dinner?" I ask moving toward the stairs.
"No I'm alright thanks y/n. You just head on up. I'll holler when they get here if you're not down here." He says as I make it to the bottom of the stairs.
"Alright!" I call back before heading up.
I enter my bedroom and grab some pajamas for after my shower. Nothing extravagant, just a plain black t-shirt that Dean left the last time he was here and some pajama shorts with some socks and underwear. I lay them out on my bed for after my shower and take off my clothes from today, and slip my bathrobe on. It's my favorite one, Sam got it for me last year. It's a made of cotton, and goes down to my knees and feels like a really long flannel.
