Chapter 4: Joe

As I wave bye to Lilly and she goes into the building I stare at her until the teacher shuts the door. Then I walk away to my class, as I walk away I can't stop thinking of Lilly and how kind, sweet and beautiful she is. I wonder why she really did help me though since she didn't have to. Hopefully I will see her again because I really want to.

Once I get to class I pull out my laptop and immediately get sidetracked by her. I start thinking about her smile, her laugh, and even her cute little walk.

I get so distracted that class goes by and I have no notes and no memory of the class. But I'm not worried about that because I'm trying to get to the building I left her at and I just hope she's there. I try to find her but she is already gone. And just as I begin to turn around to walk away I see her waiting for me with that smile again.

"Good to know I'm not the only one who wanted to talk more, wanna walk to lunch with me?"

"Yes." I say excitedly.

"What are you craving? I felt like Chick fil a, but that's on the other side of the campus and not close to my next class. But we could have something else from the lounge"

"Yeah let's head to the lounge."

"How was class? Did you code anything or was it boring like mine and all they did was talk about the class?"

"Um, actually don't be alarmed but I was distracted the whole class and couldn't stop thinking of you."

"Oh thank god I'm not the only one who was lost in thought, I only thought of you to which isn't something I normally do but you seem to have an effect on me."

While she talked her face got redder by the second but she tried so hard to hide it by facing the ground and letting her hair fall around her face, shaming and hiding it.

"Are you ok Lilly?"

"Who me? Oh yeah, I'm great, just hungry so let's hurry and get some food" She started walking faster towards the food lines in the lounge, still looking down.

"Hey wait up hungry girl."

"Nope, food waits for no one and I don't either so hurry up" She says as she gets in line to order Panda Express.

"Alright I'll hurry up and I'm paying for your meal."

"Yeah no offense but you're not my boyfriend so it's not happening, but thank you. I just kinda wanna save those things for my boyfriend one day"

"Okay."
