Wow I can't believe that I just said yes to this. First off we just met and I barely know him. Secondly, he's way out of my league and deserves better than me. Finally, I definitely know that this date will go nowhere because he will realize soon enough that I'm not the one for him, which is the only reason I said yes.

I can tell by his smile that for some reason my answer makes him happy and honestly, if me saying yes to a date makes him smile like that then I'd say yes all the damn time. That smile is everything I need in life but I can't have it because I'd only dim it and take its brightness away. But one date won't hurt, or at least I hope it won't .

I break my train of thought and focus on the assignment again but I can't do all the work so I have to ask him what parts he wants.

"Do you have a part that you wanna write? Like the intro or something?" I ask looking down at my outline.

"Juliet in the tower yelling for Romeo, "Wherefore art thou Romeo?"."

"No I mean like what part of the essay" I laugh because he doesn't seem to get that the story is more than just Romeo calling Juliet

"Oh oops um I don't care, just tell me what part you want me to do."

"Ok well I can do the evidence part of the essay and you can work on the Intro and Conclusion, you know the easy parts" I say with a bit of tease because it's clear that he has no clue how to do this type of stuff.

"Ok sounds good but later in the class I'll take some of the hard stuff. I think we are gonna partner up more often after our date."

"Umm you seem very confident that our date will go good"

"Yes, I am."

"Ok well I need to head back to the first floor and clock out, I'll be right back" I tell him as I walk away.

"Okay, Lilly."

When I make it back to the front desk I notice theres a long line and the librarian asks me to stay a bit longer and help out so I do.

After a half hour the line is finally gone and I clock out. I head back up the stair and walk over to Joe but find him asleep on the table. I stare at him for a minute because he honestly looks super cute sleeping and looks so peaceful. I see a piece of hair that fell in front of his face and before thinking I run my hands through his hair pushing it back. He quickly sits up and I pull my hand away and look at the floor.

"I'm sorry, you just had a piece of hair that fell down and you looked so peaceful." I feel so dumb for doing that without asking and I know for sure I'm bright red which is embarrassing.

"It's fine, please touch my hair anytime, you are the only one I am allowing to do that."

"Oh umm okay." I say all flustered and the stupid butterflies in my stomach are going wild. But this weird exchange won't end unless we move on.

"I am so sorry that took longer because I needed to stay and help out a bit long but we can leave now if your ready."

"Alright cool. We can walk over to the Chick-Fil-A now, Oh and I'm paying."

"Ok fine, I'm not going to argue this time because you asked me out which counts as a moment I was saving that for." I kinda hate the fact that I'm actually excited for this but one way or another this date will end and we will move on, or so I hope.

"Good."

I pick up my backpack and start walking towards the door leaving him at the table still packing up because I need to take a moment to breathe before I say or do any more stupid things. I swear I lose my common sense around him.
