The next morning, Evelyn woke up. She looked around at the unknown surroundings.
Where was she?, she thought. She looked for her phone. It was on the side desk of the bed. Beside her phone, she noticed a flower, a sunflower placed on top of a paper note.
She picked up the flower and note and looked at it suspiciously.
She started to read the handwritten note,"GOOD MORNING TO YOU!
I hope you had a great and peaceful sleep.
I wrote this because I didn't want to wake you up. I am out to finish some work. I also asked Adele to go to your house and feed Sushi because she must have been wondering why she was left alone by her over-pampering mom.
You can freshen up, I have already placed a new toothbrush for you in the washroom, and eat breakfast, that's already cooked (I cooked).
I'll be coming soon!
See you!~SAMUEL".
Reading this note, Evelyn smiled throughout. Widely. She gazed at the flower and the note for a while. She finally got out of the bed and headed to the washroom. She freshened up and went to the living room. The table was set nicely. The food was placed for her.
She settled on the chair and gobbled down the food in few minutes as she was starving.
Evelyn heard the sound of keys and the door being unlocked. She kept her stare uninterrupted at the door. Furries rushed to the door and Samuel looked at Evelyn.
"Good morning! Did you eat?", he said with a smile and eyes that shone brightly as the sun.
"Yes, I did. Thanks to you I had a nice breakfast.", Evelyn said.
Samuel chuckled while he was placing his shoes at the right place.
"I didn't know you could cook so well!", Evelyn told.
"Well, staying alone in a state, with no cooking skills means no survival, and along with that, i like it too. It's therapeutic.", Samuel replied.
"You're right about that. I like cooking as well.", Evelyn told.
"But, what's up with the flower? You could just leave the note, I would have still noticed it..", Evelyn asked.
"I know. But, I just wanted to give you one! Sunflower was the best FOR NOW..", Samuel answered.
"Why so?", Evelyn interrogated.
"Because it's yellow! Yellow is the colour of friendship. And sunflower, represents loyalty and adoration for someone..", Samuel replied.
Evelyn stared at him for a while as she had zoned out thinking about it. She felt blood rushing into her cheeks.
"Wow! I didn't know you were so deep and I guess,.. thoughtful.", she said."Ouch! I thought we were friends..", Samuel replied looking at Evelyn with cute puppy eyes.
"And we are..?", Evelyn replied in confusion, trying to interpret what he had meant by saying that.
"And yet you didn't know I was thoughtful!", Samuel said as he came closer to Evelyn while she was still seated.
"I mean- I knew you were.. but considering that you have NEVER had a girlfriend.. this surprised me.", Evelyn answered the question in his mind.
"Well, that does not imply that I don't have a beating heart. I follow what I feel. And today, I felt like giving you a flower, it's not so deep, it's following the heart..", Samuel told Evelyn while glaring into her soul.
Evelyn was undoubtedly pleased. She hid a wide smile in her surprised look.
Samuel noticed it and laughed inside, seeing her struggle to not smile.Samuel settled himself on the chair beside Evelyn.
"So what flower do you like personally?", Samuel asked.
