The Baryonyx swatted everything out of his way; he swore he actually hit a low to the ground bee nest that went flying God knows where. His eyes were locked on the point of interest that raged on in his heart. He had left his teammates far behind and now was rapidly approaching the area. The trees were spread farther apart now, and the roofed forest began to let more light in.

Nathan growled and pushed his body past his limits; he was close now, he could practically reach out and touch the large tent that was built in haste. The tent was covered with leaves and twigs to keep it from sticking out like a sore thumb in the forest. He was glad the plume of red smoke was there to guide him to the otherwise invisible tent.

There were multiple tents around, almost like a small little village was set up. He could see a few tents were broken, and others were looted of their contents; seeing this display made anxiety creep into his heart as he searched around the large tents and campsite.

He searched around and saw parts and debris from what seemed to be aircraft scattered across the floor. He saw what seemed to be another device that had two antennas sprouted higher than him. He traced his hands across the base that was holding the antennas in place. He was only good at fixing aircraft and cars but had next to no knowledge on how to build something this technical.

His heart flipped when he thought about it a bit more. It was Ashley; it had to be. The woman was smart and knew how to make junk work together to create something that would be helpful. The antenna had no signal, it was too big to move, but he could see that it had multiple parts taken out of it, so that's likely the problem.

'They must have built another one; that was the device that contacted Winters. A bigger device with a longer antenna in a different area would make contact. She said it was along the coastline as well. If that's over there... Who lit the flare?'

He saw many more tents that were spaced around; he saw weapons and clothing littered around the front of the large campsite. He made his way around a few tents. He couldn't remember, but he was certain she had a fifty-something crew with her when they went to the Middle East to stop a conflict from growing.

This definitely looked big enough for a crew that size, maybe less than fifty, but he couldn't be exactly sure. He let his hand glide across the leaves and twigs that were placed on the tents for camouflage, his eyes darting towards the forest to see for any movement.

He took another turn and stopped in his tracks; he couldn't believe his eyes at what he was seeing.

Corpses littered the ground, many of them being humans garbed in loincloths and other articles of clothing that would have some defense. He saw most of the downed humans had bullets littering them. He placed his hand to his mouth and nose, all the while closing his eyes; the bugs were already starting to eat the bodies.

The stench was horrific; he had seen many bodies in his time and smelled the aroma of death, but this was too much. The whole area was dead incarnate, with around twenty human corpses lying on the ground. He turned his head and froze when he saw a few of his own brothers and sisters lying dead as well.

He saw an Argentinosaurus lying on its side with arrows pricked down its long neck. Pools of blood that would make anyone fall to their knees and vomit at the sight. The dinosaur was holding a locket in its hand; he couldn't see what the locket said or contained, so he turned his gaze away from the sight.

It wasn't long before he stumbled upon another corpse of a fellow comrade. He knew this woman; she and Ashley would spar every Tuesday when they had the time. The downed and spear-ridden Therizinosaurus was a mangled sight to behold; just looking at his friend made the bubbling of anger and rage build up.
