I stood there for a while until my cheeks hurt from smiling. I touched them on both sides and realized I probably have smiled more this morning than on most days. It was true. I was completely head over heels in love with him. And he made me feel so adored. I had no doubt in his words and I loved that he was so open with it. Not many men would be capable of this. I closed the door and crawled back into bed. I laid there and stared at the side he slept the night and a calm form of joy ran through my body. I was excited about what happened last night and excited what is about to come but I was at peace as well. It was only positive excitement and no worry whatsoever. I trusted him completely and knew he would treat me well no matter what. I was his princess after all. He took all insecurities off me and his direct and affirming words made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. This was healthy dating. This is how every girl should feel. I thought about all of this for a while when the tiredness crawled back into my body. I had plenty of time left and could sleep for another hour. Considering that I wouldn't be able to sleep too much the following night, I decided to put an alarm in for in an hour and really get some more sleep. I took my phone, set the alarm and went to my chat with George. I texted:

Ich bin verliebt in dich

I smiled and looked at the words. It was really corny but maybe it made him smile. I at least couldn't stop smiling and asked myself if I was ever that deep in love with someone. The tiredness built back during the texting an I felt asleep only minutes later while reading the words over and over again.

I woke up with the alarm again and saw George's reply when opening the phone directly.

Ich auch in dich

I smiled. It was cute and actually correct writing and grammar. I got up and went to shower with a smile and lightness like probably only a few people have ever experienced in their morning. I took a steaming hot shower and got ready. By 10:27 I was ready to head downstairs and grab a croissant from the breakfast area. I then moved to the lobby and waited for the next shuttle at 11AM. I made myself comfortable in one of the big armchairs and read news on my phone while waiting.

"Hey, I've heard you joined Merc. But seeing you in their shirt hurts different." Someone said and my head went up. A man in a red and black Ferrari Polo smiled down on me and indeed his smile looked a bit sad.

"Hey Marc. Nice to see you!" I stood up and gave him a quick hug.

"Yes, nice to see you, too." He smiled. "You know you could have probably gotten a job at Ferrari as well. I could have introduced you to the right people had I known you were looking for one." His smile was crooked and I didn't believe him a single word. He has never even asked what I was doing for work.

„Oh, thanks. I'll come back to it, if Mercedes turns out to be the wrong choice." I winked at him and looked outside. The shuttle would be here any moment and I had no intention to miss it or elongate this chat.

„Yeah, I already wondered why you girls all seemed to have wandered off to Mercedes in the first place." He said. I did not get it but I also didn't care. I put my phone in my back pocket, signaling I was about to leave. He turned with me and as I started to walk I realized he probably was about to catch the same shuttle as I did. It took effort to not roll my eyes. „What do you mean?" I said eventually as it was clear I would have to chat with him at least until I was seated in the shuttle if not the entire ride to the circuit.

„Well the other blond one who was at the circuit the last race." I was confused.

„Elsa was her name I think."

My head started to work. What did he say? Last race was in Monaco. It was two weeks ago. I tried to remember what I did there. It seemed like ages ago. But true - Elsa was gone to some trip she didn't tell anyone about. Was she in Monaco? With Charles?
