I did not look up for a while but took a deep breath. Was he really caring? Was he playing games? Or was I not even worth games and just a girl for a night. He stopped only probably an arm length on the left behind me and starred at me in the mirror. At least I felt his gaze on me from that direction. As I looked up he indeed did, still with this worried look. His gaze turned to my real me for a second and I felt his gaze on my skin. My left side was tingling. I quickly brushed my hair behind my ear on that side. I never hated more how my body was reacting to him. I starred in the mirror to his mirror self and waited for him to meet my eyes in the mirror.

When he turned back to the mirror his expression was even more confused. But he said nothing further. I took a last deep breath and before I could overthink what to say I opened my mouth. My fingers were holding onto my phone for life.

„Did you kiss Elsa in Monaco?" I asked.

His eyes got big for a millisecond and his expression started to change. But not into confusion but something else that I couldn't grasp just now. It took another second that felt like eternity for him to open his mouth.

„Actually, she kissed me." He said and I wished the mirror shattered as the world did for me.

Authors note:

Thanks for sticking to the end. Obviously this isn't George and Liz' story ending. It is simply the ending of this first book. As you noticed, there are a few side stories including Elsa and Sarah. I have already started writing a next part, where you will see the whole strings unravelling. Please give me some feedback and please message me and reach out to keep me motivated to write as fast as formula one cars drive.
