The next day, Hiccup found himself standing in a large wooden maze holding an axe and a shield.

"Hey you know, I just happened to notice the book had nothing on Night Furies is there like another book, or a sequel, maybe a little Night Fury pamphlet?" He asked.

Suddenly, a blast of fire hit his axe and broke the top off, as well as burnt a hole in one of the maze walls.

"Focus Hiccup! You're not even trying!" Gobber yelled down at him from above. The ceiling of the arena was a dome made of chains, and around the top was seating areas for people to watch dragon fights.

That's where Gobber was, watching the teens try to fight off a Deadly Nadder, which was now chasing after Hiccup.

"Today is all about attack. Nadders are quick and light on their feet. Your job is to be quicker and lighter."

The Nadder jumped from the tops of the maze and glared down at Fishlegs. It extended spikes from its tail and shot them at him, which he blocked with his shield.

"I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!" Fishlegs yelled.

"Look for its blind spot. Every dragon has one. Find it hide in it, and strike."

Ruffnut and Tuffnut found themselves standing in front of the Nadder. They stood behind one another and tried to stay in the middle of its face where the blind spot is.

Ruffnut caught a whiff of her brother and recoiled. "Ugh, do you ever bathe?"

"If you don't like it, just get your own blind spot." Tuffnut told her, nudging her with his elbow.

"How about I give you one?" Ruffnut retorted.

The two bashes their helmets together, causing the Nadder to see them and spray fire at them, which they ran away from.

Gobber looked down into the arena with a bored look. "Blind spot, yes. Deaf spot, not so much."

As Hiccup was running by, he paused and looked up at Gobber.

"Hey, so how would one sneak up on a Night Fury?" He asked.

"No one's ever seen one and lived to tell the tale. Now get in there!" Gobber yelled at him.

"I know, I know, but hypothetically."

"Hiccup!" (Y/n) hissed. "Get down."

She was crouched next to Astro. Astro peered around the corner and saw the Nadder approaching.

He and (Y/n) shared a look and a nod and tumbled across the hall where the Nadder was. Hiccup tried to follow them, but got weighed down by the shield and the Nadder spotted him.

(Y/n) stood in front of the dragon and went to throw her axe at it, but Snotlout pushed her out of the way.

"Relax babe, I got this." He threw his hammer, but missed the dragon.

(Y/n) stared at him, unimpressed.

"The sun was in my eyes (Y/n)." He excused.
