Ziva Asinobi's POV
This is torture.
I'm on my period and I feel like I want to shoot the next available fucker that gets on my nerves.
My head is aching, my breasts are swollen and I think my cramps are akin to contractions and I wish I was joking.
Bloating, swollen feet, throwing up, headaches, fatigue and period shits every month and all because my X chromosome was met by another X instead of a Y.
Fucking hell.
I had a long day at the restaurant today.
Thankfully, I don't have any big catering jobs this week, so I'm happy.
I have just stepped back into my apartment and my shoes are already kicked off and I'm reaching under my shirt to immediately snatch off my bra off.
I fling it onto the coffee table and I flop down onto the couch, reaching for the remote.
I don't even want to cook...
But am I feeling for Chinese food or Mexican food?
I continue scrolling, when I get a call.
I'm about to decline it with noise-barrier-breaking speed, when I clock who it is.
"Tobias" I greet.
"Sunshine" he drawls, making me giggle.
"Sunshine?" I ask, 'mocking' his Southern drawl.
"Yes, baby. You're my sunshine aren't you?" He asks and I nearly swoon.
I can be anything he wants me to be.
But I need to be strong!
"I'm not your anything till you ask me, doc" I tell him.
"Speak things as if they are and they will be" he responds immediately.
"Not you quoting the bible!" I giggle.
"Welcome to death row baby" he says back.
I laugh at him.
"How was your day, honey?" He asks me.
"A little tough" I confess.
"Cramps are a bitch, but it's nothing I can't handle" I continue.
"Have you eaten?" He ask.
I nod as if he can see him, putting him on loud speaker so that I can continue scrolling through my phone to decide what I want to eat.
"I'm scrolling. I don't know whether I want to treat myself to Mexican food or Chinese food." I say.
He hums thoughtfully.
"My brother put me on to this Mexican place last year. How do you feel about Birria tacos?" He asks.
"Ouu I love them! Send me the name of the place." I tell him.
"You'll see it when the bag arrives" he says.
"What?!" I ask.
"I've ordered some to your house. And I don't know which smoothie you like so you can share the ones you don't like with your friends" he says.
"You got all of them?!" I ask.
"Calm down. I got the 4 most popular." He says as if that's still not a stupid amount to spend.
"Tobias it's literally fine! You don't need to- -"
"I also ordered some stuff from the convenience store for you so make sure you relax okay?" He informs, cutting me off.
