Tobias Miller's POV

It's been a weird week.

Ziva has been avoiding me like the plague and for the first couple of days I decided to give her space.

But days have turned into a week and now I'm worried I moved too fast too quickly or hurt her in some kind of way.

So I do the best thing I know how to.

"Is Ziva in?" I ask her front of house member, Olivia.

Olivia's eyes catch sight of the flowers in my hand and she gives me a shit eating grin.

"She's in the back. Want me to let her know you're in?" She asks.

I shake my head.

"Nah. I'll go to her" I say.

After an encouraging smack on the back, the short fluffy haired teenage menace goes back to serving customers.

I shake my head to myself, now focused on seeing Ziva.

I walk straight to the back of the restaurant and I knock on the office door twice.

"Come in" Ziva says.

I open the door and Ziva looks up, surprised to see me.

"You weren't expecting a visitor?" I joke.

She stands up and approaches me.

She catches sight of the flowers in my hand and her face forms an adorable pout.

"I've been avoiding you and I'm sorry" she says softly.

"You have, and while I accept your apology, I want an explanation" I tell her.

She nods.

"Can I have a hug first?" She asks.

I walk past her to her desk and I place down the flowers, before turning back to her and opening my arms.

"Come here sunshine" I tell her.

She walks into my arms and immediately buries her face into my chest, her arms around my middle.

I hold her and she sinks further into me like I'm a warm bed in the winter.

"Please don't ever avoid me like that again. Even if you never want to talk to me again, please just communicate that with me" I mutter softly into her hair.

"I won't do it again" she says and I rub her back.

She pulls away suddenly.

"I didn't even offer you a drink!" She says.

She takes my hand and leads me to the couch, sitting me down.

"Water? Juice? Tea?" She asks, moving to her mini fridge in the corner of the room.

She bends over to look inside and I immediately stop watching her.

This is a time for vulnerability not fucking about.

"I'm okay" I respond.

"Water it is" she responds, ignoring me.

I chuckle.

"Thank you sugar" I respond.

"You're welcome" she responds.

I watch as she brings two bottles of water and a cookie tin over and she sits on the couch next to me.
