Ziva Asinobi's POV.
"Have a great rest of your day everyone!" I say to the table of regulars I always serve.
They all thank me as per usual and they go back to eating.
I'm about to check in on my staff, when my watch buzz with a text.
I check it and see that it's Anjani.
I go into a corner and take out my phone to look at it.
'We still on for that class?' My friend asks me.
In my spare time I like to go to pole dancing classes!
It started off as a silly hobby when I was in college, but I ended up sticking with it!
Of course I was super shit at it starting off.
And being heavy made me feel less confident.
But I quickly got into the swing of it, and now I love it so much!
Being surrounded by women who enjoy it helps and my friends support me too.
So much so, that Anjani wants to start going too and I promised her I'd take her today.
We text a little bit more about details then I pocket my phone and get back to work.
The rest of the day is quiet but fast paced and by the time I lock up, I still have a bunch of energy left.
I'm in the car and on my way to Anjani's house, when my car system starts ringing.
I glance at the screen, before hitting the receive button.
"Tobias!" I greet.
"Good evening baby" he responds.
"You just woke up?" I ask trying to maintain composure.
His voice. It's low and gravelly.
"Yes ma'am. I was up until 6am marking papers and I didn't have any lectures, so I took a nap." He said.
A nap?! At 6am?!
"Baby that's not a nap that's a slumber!" I cackle at him.
He laughs, making me melt even more.
"D'you just call me baby?" He asks.
I can hear the grin in his voice.
I did.
"How many papers you got left?" I ask.
It's both an aversion and an excuse to hear his voice.
"None. I stayed up late remember?" He asks.
What?!
"How many papers did you have?!" I ask incredulously.
"Two lots of 45, so 90" he says casually.
"Plus I took about 30 more masters papers, so 120 in total" he finishes, speaking as if it's light work.
"Tobias you left work at 7:30 yesterday evening!" I say.
"Yes" he responds.
"And you mean to tell me that you marked 120 papers from 8pm to 6am?!" I ask him.
"Yes." He responds.
I shake my head.
"Don't overdo it okay?" I say.
"Yes ma'am" he responds, with a sigh.
"What's the matter?" I ask him.
"I just wish you were here" he says softly.
