Sorry I'm a little bit late you guys. I'll make it up to you 🫶🏾

Ziva Asinobi's POV

"That concludes the meeting guys! I want to see those arrangements exactly how I pictured them or it's gonna be a war in the club!" I 'threaten' and most of my team laugh at the realisation.

I'm catering alongside my team for an opening event at a brand new club tonight.

I'm catering specifically for the VIP section, so I'm a little nervous, but I have full faith in my skill.

My client has a lot of faith in me.

So now I'm in the meeting room at work, with A3 sheets all over the table.

Celebrities will be there.

New musicians and actors mostly.

And a lot of cameras so I need to plan a way to make sure than none of my staff get in the way.

I've separated the tables into film casts and the music scene to make sure that I have all the right people where they need to be.

Dietary restrictions and allergies are down.

They'll be served food, two courses, during the main speech and a steady fellow of drinks as they eventually start moving around and 'regular' people and reporters start to flood in.

People can be insane so we switch out drink cups and bin the old ones immediately someone stops looking at their drink or they're away from it for too long, and they've already told us about security measures.

I'm just about to go through clean up, when my thigh vibrates with a text.

I pick it up and my heart jumps.

Tobias Miller.

I open it immediately.

'Ms Asinobi. I have some things I'd like to discuss about my father's birthday dinner. Come to dinner with me.' It reads.

My heart immediately lurches and then drops.

On today of all days?!

'I'd love to... but I'm catering for an event tonight unfortunately' I respond.

I really am disappointed.

I know it's not a date but the thought of getting dinner with him seemed exciting regardless.

And then I get an idea.

'Come to the event?' I ask, before I can stop myself.

'It'll be a good way for me to show you what I do without spilling a drink over you' I joke.

'Can I call you? Are you busy?' He asks.

I nearly drop my phone.

Call me?!

'Yes' I respond.

Not even a moment later, his call comes through and I take a deep breath to compose myself first, then I pick it.

"Miss Asinobi" he greets.

The moment he says my name I feel my bones turn into a puddle.

It should be illegal for a man's voice to be this smooth and deep.

"Mr Miller. It's good to hear from you" I say.

"Likewise" he responds and I can hear the smile in his voice.
