Conflicted - Twist Of Fate

Selena (Moon goddess)

I feel myself drifting.

 
The world around me is nothing but fog. You'd think I'd be scared but I'm not.
It feels peaceful here.
I never want to go back, it is too hard there. Everything is so complicated.
Me and Aurora are bonded as one more than ever. Our minds completely content as we float through this ether world.
It feels like weeks, just being at peace, floating.
The fog starts to lift and suddenly I'm looking at the most beautiful face I've ever seen.
Long white hair, big white eyes. Her face nothing but kindness. 
"Hello my child" her voice rings. I've never been in the presence of someone so majestic that I suddenly know who she is.
"Moon goddess?" My voice comes out croaky. She smiles as she nods.

"My special child, I've wanted to speak with you for a long time now" she smiles.
Just like all wolves I've dreamed of meeting her. But we all know it only happens when our mortal lives are over. Panic sets in as I think of Aiden. His going to be devastated.
"I'm dead" I state. How? I know I used a lot of my energy to break the mate bond. But death? I didn't feel it took that much.
Selena shakes her head.
"You have way too much ahead of you, your story is not destined to end so soon my child" her warm smile never wavering.
I don't understand, 'Aurora, help me here' I beg but hear nothing.
"I've asked Aurora for some privacy for this my child" she explains.
"You are a destiny wolf Armina, your path is far more dangerous than my other children and for that I am so sorry" she walks closer as I stare into her eyes. They look like full moons, inviting; mesmerising.
"Who are my parents?" I suddenly blurt.
A sad smile comes over her face.
"Your mother is with me, I am so sorry, just know she tried to protect you" she adds sadly. Dead. My mother is dead.
I'd always thought so growing up, but now it was confirmed I was filled with sadness.
She comes closer until her hand touches my cheek. Her touch eases the pain as I lean into her.

"I had lost hope for another blessed child, the royals had lost so many wolves, all from these horrible wars" her eyes changing. The white swirls, it almost looks like a storm.
"Katrina Belecove had hidden her whole life, scared for anyone to know her identity" her eyes calming and looking only sad. "When she found her mate Shayne Wardolf she tried to fight against it, scared to reveal who she was, but it didn't take long. 

The mate bond is very powerful. When they fell pregnant with you, she knew there was a chance what you'd become. That people would want you. She ran from your father before he knew she was pregnant. When she gave you up it broke her. She fought when the rouges found her, but knowing what they'd do to her. She fought harder, knowing they'd kill her. She loved you so much Armina. Her only regret is not being here for you" the tears fall down my face. My mother loved me. She didn't just leave me because she didn't want me.
"So my father doesn't know about me?" I questioned, Shayne Wardolf, he shouldn't be too hard to find.
She shakes her head, "His been lost since your mother ran away, his heart broken. But he is still a loyal child to me. He didn't let the pain darken his soul. He needs you Armina, find him" I nod.
I feel myself waking but fight against it.
"My mates, why would you pair me with them?" I beg. Trying to stay a little longer.
Selena smiles, "That choice is yours my child; a destiny wolf is free to choose their own mate", Wait what? Choose my own mate? My mind immediately goes to Leo. Could I choose him?
"Leo would be a fine choice, I only ask you to consider those I chose for you" she smiles as everything fades to back.
