Conflicted - Twist Of Fate

Escaping.

We make our way back to my mates rooms. Choosing not to expose Aiden to any PDA as he comes to terms with our choice. As we walk I feel feel my mates emotions clearly, our growing bond shutting down any barriers I have in place.
Nate is nothing but happiness and love while Tristan is a mix of awe; happiness and anxiousness.
I know how he feels as I feel the exact same.
I am sure of my decision, knowing the coming months will not be easy but Aurora and I know these men are our soul mates. Our destiny.

Selena was right. They deserved a chance. The danger lurking with Ethan's crusade has me worried. My abilities make me a threat and an asset. Any pack would welcome me, but also destroy me.
Ethan welcomed my abilities when he thought it would benefit his pack, how quickly he changed.

A growing feeling of unease fills me as I walk. A sense of being watched growing within me.

Tristan reaches for my hand, gently rubbing this thumb along my palm as we walk. The sparks fly up my arm; working their way through my body as my heat pushes me to mate.

I don't want to rush this. Aiden's warning of showing off a mark to the lycans and alpha leaders fresh in my mind. I almost think I should forget it all and do as we please when the voice booms in my head.

'TURN LEFT' I wince, pulling my mates to the left as multiple arrows fly into the wall where we would have stood. Smelling strongly of wolves bane.

Nate growls, turning to search for the culprit as Tristan turns instantly. His wolf growing as he runs in the direction of the arrow. Nate is quiet as he pulls me strongly back towards the woods.

I pull away, I have to find Aiden. Nate pulls me harder, "Tristan has mind linked Aiden already, we leave now" Nate demands, his voice desperate as he pulls me towards the trees.

I try contacting Aiden, panicking. A growl sounds, a lycan coming towards us. Lycans are simular to wolves, just bigger and standing on two legs. As he draws closer Nate goes to move towards him.  Not allowing it I throw my hands up at him, willing my abilities to remove him.

He flies back. Hard. Hitting a large tree with a sickening crack and falling to the ground unconscious.

I hear a twig crack behind us but know instantly it's Aiden. I turn to see him turning back to human, blood dripping down his arms. I run towards him, smelling it's not his. "You couldn't hear me Armina, you need to reject Blood Moon & properly join Eclipse" Aiden says, relief filling his features.

Surprised my bond with Aiden didn't allow us to communicate I quickly respond "I Armina Carter reject Alpha Ethan Mason as my Alpha & sever all ties to the Blood Moon pack. I pledge myself to the Eclipse pack and accept the Luna position" I feel the bond snap, Nate quickly biting his hand and offering it to me. I copy, "I Alpha Nate Sayes accept you as Luna of the Eclipse pack" the bond snaps into place quickly.

Thousands of wolves connect to me as I feel bliss spread across the wolves of Eclipse. I feel each wolf, knowing most are pure and kind. I feel some darkness, knowing this is what we must find and destroy.

Knowing we are still in danger Aiden looks to Nate. "Where?" Nate points to the right, "We have an escape car organised, 5 kilometres that way, if we shift we won't take long" Aiden nods and begins to shift.

No.

How are they not thinking of Tristan?

"Nate, no, we need to find Tristan" Nate shakes his head. "He will meet us, we have to go, he made me promise I'd keep you safe" Nate starts to shift, his wolf pressing Aurora to do the same.

'Why is it always him being in danger?' Aurora cries as I feel her reach out to Karos. 'We are going back' I demand, trying to turn as Aurora takes over and forces me to follow Dimitri.

'AURORA NO!' I demand, 'We have to go back!' Aurora whines as she runs. 'Karos said his got this, his just misleading them and will meet us, his okay' I push harder. 'Aurora, we are strong; we can help' I cry, dread filling my whole body.

'If we go back they will all fight harder to kill us. Right now they are looking for us Armina, Tristan and Karos are just trying to confuse them, his smart, they'll be okay' she reassures.

Filling empty I give up. Letting her run.

After what feels like an eternity we reach a small black Honda Civic. Nate turns opening the back door for me and Aiden as he opens the passenger door. A young man, early 20s the driver.

His foot hits the pedal hard the moment we are all in.

Once we're moving I unleash. "We can't just leave Tristan" I cry, tears running down my face. "We're not, his okay" Nate reassures but I see the worry on his face. He doesn't know either.

This has been how it's always been for him. Tristan always taking all of the risks. They are twins yet Tristan seems to have taken on the roll of the older sibling. Ensuring Nate is always safe.

My heart breaks for Tristan as I stare out the window. "Aiden, Armina this is Connor, our former Beta" Nate says changing the subject as the man smiles.

"Former?" I ask surprised, not many stay with their pack once overthrown.

"Well he is still, however he is willing to pass that on to Aiden" Nate smiles hesitantly in the mirror as Aiden's eyes widen, his face mixed with surprise and disapproval.
