I wake with a throbbing between my legs and my head on Tristan's chest. His arm is wrapped tightly around me. Protectively.

Even in his sleep his protective. Him being asleep allows me to take in each of his features carefully.

His skin seemingly flawless except two lines between his eyes. Worry lines.

His jaw tense even as he sleeps. Allowing my hand to play with the edges of his hair I find it soft and let it fall through my fingers. His body is hard. Toned even for a werewolf, he must train rigorously. His skin a perfect olive from his time in the sun, while the tattoos covering his chest and arms making him sex on legs.

I'm amazed how days ago I had rejected him. Now I'd do anything for him. I love him & Nate with everything I am.

I stare for several minutes before the need for the toilet over powers my need to be creepy and watch my mate sleep. I gently lift my head, surprised when I'm pulled closer and a quickly alert Tristan stares at me.

"What's happening?" His body instantly tensing, ready for anything. "I need to pee" I laugh, kissing his cheek gently as he drops his arm. My mate. The protector.

I quickly scuttle to the toilet.

As I splash my face, my hearing picks up a light sound coming from the hallway. These rooms are soundproofed as all pack house rooms are. But my hearing is different. Someone is banging on a door. Not this one.

There are 3 rooms up here, the twins & a spare which now has Aiden.

It must be Nates. Curious, I make my way into the room just as Tristan sneaks out the door.

I cover myself with a robe and follow, hearing Tristan's low angry voice.

"Leave Sarah, Nate never should have had you around to begin with. We have our mate, and she will not be concerned with your immaturity," he demands.

A shrill voice yells. "If Nathanial wants me gone, he can tell me himself" I open the door as she turns and begins banging on his door again. "His patrolling" Tristan growls, just before he notices me standing there.

Before me is a short, pale, red head. She's pretty, undeniably. But also hostile. Her eyes meet mine as she turns to argue with Tristan. She scoffs.

"Nathanial loves me, not this outsider" Aurora growls, she almost takes over when Tristan grabs Sarah by the throat and throws her against the door she was so eager to have opened.

"You will not speak to or about her in that tone again, do you understand?" his alpha command filling the room as Sarah's eyes dart down and her head bows to submit. "Yes Alpha" she whimpers.

"GO" he orders. Letting her go.
I watch her run down the hallway terrified.

"Nathanial?" I ask stunned. Tristan chuckles slightly. "He hates it, no one calls him that" he shakes his head. He steps closer to me with his arms open, which I quickly step into.

Hurt fills me to think of Nate loving another. Of not even knowing his true name. I can't be angry, can I? I was debating accepting Leo, I even let him touch me.

I know I can't. But it still hurts.

"She is nothing to him now" Tristan states, kissing my head. I nod. His right. "Did they mate?" I ask. He shakes his head. "I'm not sure how far it went, but I know it never went that far. We both saved ourselves." he kisses my head.

Both?
He had never?
With how amazing last night was, I expected experience to have something to do with it.

"You never?" I asked, shocked. His eyes instantly appear hurt. "You're suprised?" He drops his arms, "I'm sorry it's just, you know exactly how to, I didn't mean" I stammer. The hurt fades as he puts his arms back around me.
