Tristan's perspective:

I move quickly. I know it won't be long until more wolves arrive and I'm already outnumbered. I also know Armina will be trying to find me and Aiden. She's not one to give up easily.

Moving as quickly and quietly as I can I scout the closest window. It doesn't take long to work out what's happening.

Aiden is slouched over tied in heavy silver chains on an old steel chair. His face bloody and beaten while two wolves argue closely about how to proceed. One wants to move, scared of their close proximity. The other wanting to wait for orders.

The third wolf is ignoring them both with his eyes closed. 'His communicating with his pack' Karos growls. 'We must move quickly before any wolves get here. I am willing to die for our mate but we'd rather live for her' agreeing whole heartedly I pull a silver knife from my belt.

Without hesitation I smash the window in front of me with one arm while throwing the knife with the other.

The wolf communicating is too slow. The knife piercing his heart as he slumps. His heart stopping.

I throw my body threw the remains of the window I ignore the stinging of the small cuts created. One goal is mind.

Save Aiden.
Destroy my enemies.

Armina.

As I run a familiar sensation pulls at me. My vision blurs as I stop; swaying on my feet.

I see the ground approaching as my mind is pulled into another world. A world promising peace.

I'm here again. I feel her before I see her. Turning in excitement to see her beautiful eyes.

"Selena" I bow slightly. Her concerned features have me freezing as I rise.

"I am sorry to interrupt at such a crucial time but this warning could not wait" her tone filled with sadness. "I don't like to interfere in the paths of my children but you my dear" she smiles sadly as she moves close to me. Her hand reaches out and touches my face; the sensation feels like a dream, her skin silky soft.

"Warning?" I stutter out; barely able to focus on her words. "I am sorry my child; but the actions you take over the next couple of days will result in a great loss for you. While I wish I could stop it completely, destiny can not be battled" her words set my heart racing.

Death. Someone I love is going to die.

"Aiden?" I choke out; his situation the most dangerous. "He is a possibility, I can not say which man will die, there are three possibilities all resulting from the choices you make right now. You need to decide who you can bare to lose and understand your limitations" I shake my head. "Limitations? Are you asking me to let Aiden die?" Sadness and anger bubbling together.

Selena shakes her head sadly. "All I ask you to do is understand that you are powerful my chosen child. But not invincible. If you try to save everyone at the expense of yourself; you will lose all 3. You have such horrible choices to navigate. Ones I would not wish on anyone. Your mates; Aiden and the people who love you will do anything to save you. By placing yourself in danger you also place them too. Please child. Value your own life" I feel myself being pulled back out of her world.

"NO!" I scream.. " I have questions! Please Selena! Don't send me back yet!" She shakes her head. "I too have limitations and rules and I've already intervened too much. Please think before you act Armina; your life has a purpose much bigger than what you see now, I love you" no, no, no. I try to fight against it but I fail. My eyes opening to once again being alone. The cold grass against my skin and the moon high in the sky.

Tristan.

Taking out the two wolves takes energy but it doesn't take long before they both lay dead at my feet. A waste of life. I try not to think about it. Killing comes easily with my strength, but weighs heavy on my heart.

I've always tried to hide it but me and Dimitri despise it. Aiden remains out cold as I make quick work of his chains. The others won't be far off.

Knowing it will be much quicker and safer not carrying dead weight I throw a cup of water over his face.

"Come on, we gotta go" I yell; pulling him to his feet as I support his weight. He smells of wolvesbane so I know it's going to be a long walk. He grumbles, "You shouldn't have come" I laugh pulling him through the door. A laughter that is quickly stopped as a dark laughter comes from behind me.

"Never thought the day we come we agree on something Aiden"
