Leo moves in front of me and growls again.
I place my hand on his shoulder.
I owe Nate this.

"It's okay Leo, his right. We do need to talk" Leo's eyes show nothing but affection and fear. His scared of losing me. 
I smile reassuringly. I know what I need to do. I could never be with Nate. I couldn't do that to Aiden. To our pack. They may be mostly jerks but I still feel responsible for them. The Eclipse pack is a danger. It always has been. 

Leo nods. Respecting me enough to give me what I ask, while also eyeing Nate as he leaves.
Leo kisses my forehead, causing another small growl from Nate as he glares at him, his wolf fighting to come to the front. 

'Croxus' Aurora sighs, 'His wolf is Croxus, his beautiful' Aurora sighs, 'I want him Armina' she says sadly. 'What about Leo?' I ask sadly, 'I care for Leo, and his wolf Jensen has been reaching out to me, but it doesn't feel the same Armina, he doesn't feel like mine' I know what she means. A big part of me wants Leo, yet it isn't the same connection I feel just standing in the same room as Nate.

 His scent surrounds me making it hard not to accept him. I remember the words of Selena begging me to consider him. But I can't. The thought of causing Aiden that much pain.

"Are you going to reject me again?" Nates sad voice interrupts my thoughts. I want to nod. I want to be strong but I feel frozen. His eyes stare into mine, making me feel like he can see into my soul.

"I'm nothing like my father Armina" Nate states sadly, "Tristan and I have always hated him, but we couldn't take him down. Not until we were older, he would always beat us for even objecting to his actions" I stare at him shocked.

"Beat you?" Nate nods, "the beatings started when we were toddlers and didn't stop until we took him down. We had to do what he said, or he'd beat one of us half to death in front of the other one. Tristan got it worse, he would always push our father to take his anger out on him to protect me" he adds sadly. "It doesn't explain what Tristan did, but his anger has always controlled him". 

"I'm so sorry" my arms automatically reaching out to embrace him. His arms wrap around me, silent tears escaping his eyes. I close my eyes, enjoying his scent. My mates were not the monsters there father was. Yet I still couldn't accept them. Not without hurting Aiden. Not without hurting Leo. This was a mess. No matter what I do. Someone gets hurt.
