"Ring, ring, ring!" The sound of my alarm. I stretch to switch it off. I rub my eyes and grab my towel to shower. Ten minutes later, I dry myself. I take my galaxy shirt and black skinny jeans with a leather jacket, and black vans.

I head downstairs for some breakfast.
'Caroline! Caroline! Look what I drew!'

'That's beautiful Rebecca, well done!'

'You're beautiful' she smiles.

Becca, my younger sister. She has long brown curls and she loves ponies and rainbows. I remember 3 years ago, she couldn't stop staring at the double rainbow we saw . She was filled with joy and innocence.

But every time I look at her I'm reminded of the scar above her right eye.
One evening, mom and dad were fighting . Becca kept crying and I was trying to comfort her but she wouldn't stop. My dad got fed up with her, he slapped her and scratched her on the right eye with his wedding ring.
Blood immediately splurged out. And my mom started crying. That was the last time I saw my dad.
He hurt Becca.
He hurt my mom.
He hurt me.
So he left.
But something tells me that wasn't all.

'Says the more beautiful one!' I smile

I hear her giggle and then she continues to draw. I grab a bowl, warm milk and then the flakes then start feistier my hungry stomach.

'Sorry Carrie, I was just so busy yesterday at work that I couldn't take you home. I really am sorry.' She say disappointed in her self.

'No, it's fine. Just ask Susie to come again and help Becca with her homework, I have to stay in the library today.'

'Well, that is fine, eat your breakfast and ill be home later, okay?'

'Yep, see ya.'

She closes the front door.

We are back to that life again. Left alone. All by ourselves.

'See you later Becca, I'm going now. Kisses' she blows me a kiss and giggles.

'Love you Carrie! '

'Right back at ya!'

I step out of the front door. Waiting for the bus to arrive.
I really wish we just had someone. Someone who can heal our sadness. Someone who can lift us up. Someone who can make us realise that there are better days upon us.

I really need someone now. . .

" Remember projects due next Tuesday and if it comes later than that, minus 10 marks. " Mr. Lee says when the bell rings for the lesson to end. The project was a group project but since I have no friends, I'm doing it alone. As usual.

Thoughts swirl up my head of Becca and mom. Oh how it's only the three of us, plus Susie the nanny. But theres no male figure. What if there was a robbery? Mom wouldn't be there, she takes her work too seriously, Becca and I would be helpless. The wish of someone to be there, was all I could think of. There's just... No one

"Psst! Why are you always dreaming, can't you pay attention?" This guy called me out, taking me far away from my thoughts. And placing me back to reality.

"Screw you. " I say.

" Well, you are not the type that listens or passes so I think that goes for you."

"Why dont you just shut your potato hole and sod off. "

"Much better if you do." He comments.

"You two, please this is my lesson so, silence? " He instructs. I look back at him and he sticks his long, disgusting, liar tongue.

"How mature. " I say.

Great so, that was a day to remember. Another person that hates me? Check. Now, just a few more then the whole school basically hates me.
