Thanks for reading!

Lo and behold, The Shooting Range. I stare at the plain , boring title for a while because they really had no idea whatsoever about another name. I mean seriously? Someone couldn't be more creative? Someone couldn't think of a better name?
James pushes me to get my attention which he obviously did because I almost stumble over, rubbing my arm repeatedly for that. He too stares with me and scoffs looking at the huge sign infront of the door.
He walks forward towards the entrance while I stare closer and think intentively about another, more creative and special name for this empty, blank, dark mysterious building.
"Are you coming or are you going to think about better names?" He asks, reading my thoughts. I nod to him to tell him I'll go. Then look at the sign for a moment trailing spiderwebs in my brain. At the corner of my eye I see him walking back to me. He grabs me by the arm and leads me inside. Under my breath I curse at him and he hears, still in hold of my poor arm. I shake myself to be released while he stands there pretending like nothing happened.
"Hello there, can I help you?" A young mid twenties man approaches us with a toolbox in one hand and a cloth in the other. His wavy dirty blonde hair falls perfectly and covers one eye. But the other reveling his blue ocean eye colour. His navy tracksuit may hide the abs behind but I wouldn't lie to myself when I say he looks incredibly handsome. I can't help but blush.
James notices my sudden change in facial expression and immediately breaks it by telling him he's looking for someone else. The man, stunned by James response, almost instantly walks away afraid of what might happen. I look at James giving him a 'are-you-serious' look but he shrugs it.
"So who are you looking for then?" I ask him, crossing my arms, uninterested.
"Him." He points to another man but very much older, mid-sixty. Almost no hair, same navy tracksuit like the young man. He notices our presence and surprisingly run towards James. Shocked that this old man can still run and shocked that James is smiling PLUS hugging the man. All too much for one day- filled with surprises.
"Eh James, how are you doing? I missed you!" He taps him on the shoulder continously with a smile.
"You know, same old stuff. " He puts his hands in his pockets and walk with the man. Then just like that he forgets about me, their endless conversation about women, cars, family trails together like a never ending story. I follow behind them walking through an empty garage tugging my bag with me.
" YEAH, tell me about it." Then they both laugh to what seems like the best joke in the entire world. James bends down holding his stomach with tears forming in his eyes. I stand there, eyes popped and holding my laugh but I escape a chuckle and with that ladies and gentlemen, I got they're attention.
Both of them look back, staring blankly at me with concern like I've lost my mind. I blink my eyes realising that they are staring at me!
What to do... what to do....
"Um... Hi." I spit out. And a momentarily second later the old man jumps up and hugs me out of the blue.
"Aww man! This is your girl? She's a beauty!" I hear James protesting but he's interrupted by the old man's continous conclusions. Speak Carrie speak! Tell him he's wrong, tell him he's only a friend!
Tell him!
"James, you must tell me everything about her, how you met, how you got together and tell me you haven't done anything naughty have you? " He gives me a stink eye, his eyebrows raising up and down then winks at me. He taps my shoulders almost too hard and I squeeze the pain still unable to speak. I stutter like it's the only thing I could do and not a single word leaves my mouth.
He then drags me, his arms around me and he's talking about marriage. My eyes pop out of me because of that topic. Marriage? Children? WHAT?
"Carl! " I hear James shout which finally gives attention to the man. He looks at me apologetically and release from our embrace. I flatten my shirt and let out a heavy breath. My eyes are locked with his and I'm about to turn away when James lands his hand on Carl shoulder.
"So... Carl, this is my friend Carrie. " James' tone emphasises 'friend'. Then with a blink of an eye. Carl oohs and scratches the back of his head unable to say anything.
"I'm really sorry Carrie, I-I got carried away, it's just that I haven't seen this young man in ages that I jump to conclusions sometimes. " The stupid person that I am, I nod. My body didn't didn't know what else to do.
Stupid Carrie, stupid! You should be told him that it's okay to jump into conclusions sometimes! Argg! Stupid.
"It's alright Carl. I know you miss me. " James smirks at him which made Carl caress James' hair like a little kid.
"Come on in, I'll serve you breakfast. " Carl says, his arm hung over James. James smiles to that and they both walk away.
Gather your thoughts Carrie, gather your thoughts.
Calm yourself and be cooperative, be nice, appreciate, be kind.
I set myself to a standard that later I wouldn't have to puch anyone in the face because of their behaviour. One wrong move buddy and I'm all karate kid on you.
But this man seems so friendly towards James, like they're BFF's for life! What this? A reunion? No! It's me trying to learn how to shoot but it seems like this wasn't the only thing we came here for.
Apparently it's for breakfast as well...
