Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning, thankful that I didn't have school because it is Saturday. I got ready for the day and dressed in my favorite pair of shorts and a pink crop top. I looked like a potato but whatever.

I hopped down my stairs and remembered I couldn't go out because I had to watch my brother Tyler while my mom was at work. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and walked into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. I was eating my Cinnamon Toast Crunch when my phone dinged. I looked down at the screen to see Amanda had texted me.

Amanda: Hey want to go out for lunch?

Me: Sure!! I just have to get out of babysitting Tyler

Amanda: My Aunt Kelly can watch him. I think you guys met a couple of times

Me: Ok can I drop him off now and ill pick you up on the way?

Amanda: K see u soon

I dropped Tyler off at Amanda's aunts house and me and Amanda decided to go out for lunch at Chipotle. We were driving home when I got a text from my mom. She wouldn't stop texting me so I decided to answer real quick before she got mad at me.

I answered the text and then suddenly,

Boom!

I jolted forward and banged my nose against the steering wheel. the airbag popped out and prevented from any further damage. I could feel blood rushing down my nose. I looked at Amanda to see she was fine but her eyes were widened in shock.  I grabbed some tissues left over from chipotle and pressed them against my nose to stop the bleeding.  I'm not so sure my car was doing good so we hopped out and saw a large dent near the front. I gasped and looked up to see who we bumped into.

And guess who got out of their Ford Mustang? The one and only, Hamilton Nash Grier.

My heart beat quickened.
