Chapter 5

I wake up the next morning remembering the date I had with Nash today. I shrieked like a child and jumped out of my bed. I took a shower and changed into some sweatpants and tank top.
I hopped down my stairs and threw a waffle in the toaster. As I waited for my waffle my phone dinged showing I had a text message.

Nash: I'm excited for the date tonight. ;)

Makayla: I am too! Where r u taking me anyways haha

Nash: it's a surprise you'll just have to wait :)

Makayla: haha ok see u tonight!

I didn't have time to read his response when the smoke machine sounded out across the house. I was too busy texting Nash that I forgot about the waffles I had in the toaster. Smoke was everywhere and I pulled the plug out to decrease the chance of a fire starting. The smoke started up my coughing Again but this time it hurt my chest every time I coughed. I couldn't miss out on the date I had tonight so I took some coughing syrup.

I waited for the toaster to cool down before I pulled the waffle out and threw it in the trash. "Why am I so stupid?" I say to myself. I decide to go out and just buy myself breakfast because that's the safest way. I remember my moms at work and Tyler was at a sleepover so it was a perfect day.

As I put my shoes on and look for my moms keys I decide to call Amanda and ask if she wants to come with me. I dial her number in my phone and wait for her to pick up.

"What up?" She says after two rings.

"Can I come pick you up in a few minutes to grab some breakfast?" I ask as I find the keys under the table.

"If there's food involved I'm in" she says as if it's obvious.

"Haha okay I'll be there in a bit." I say hanging up.

I hop into my moms car since my car was still in the shop and Amanda walks from her house to mine and steps inside the car since we were neighbors. We drive over to my favorite cafe and walk inside to be greeted by the wonderful smell of food and coffee.

We walkover to the counter and me and Amanda both order a coffee and ham & egg sandwich. After we get our food we take a seat near the window and start eating. "Okay..." I say excitedly. "I have some crazy good news to tell you!" I say excitedly, almost spilling my coffee.

She stops eating and looks up at me with a smirk. "And what would that be?" She asks "Nash Grier asked me out on a date tonight at six!" I almost yell getting a few looks from people next to us. She gaps at me, eyes wide. "Are you serious?" She asks in disbelief. We spend the next thirty minutes talking about the date. After we are finished we decided that we should go shopping to waste time.

We pull up at the mall and walk inside. "Hmm which store first?" Amanda says looking all around. We end up going to Aeropostale, Forever 21, Hollister, and Abercrombie before we were exhausted. I bought a few shirts with the little money I had but Amanda on the other hand practically bought the whole mall.

I looked at the time to find it was four pm. "Amanda, we have to go now!" I scream. I need the perfect amount of time to look good for Nash. I get into my moms car and drop Amanda off before I rush home. I take a shower and stand in my closet deciding what to wear. I remember he said to dress comfy so I put on some black leggings with a tie-dyed shirt and my converse.

I put my hair in a messy bun and apply my makeup. Right when I finish the doorbell rings and I screech. I open it and find Nash looking hot like always. "You look great." He says eyeing me with admiration. I blush and we walk out.

We are driving for a few minutes when we pull up to the trampoline park and I gasp. "I know it's a bit childish but I just didn't know-" I cut him off and say "Are you kidding me? I love this place!" He smiles as he notices I'm happy with his choice.
I hop out of the car and run up to the entrance. "Someone's a bit excited." He says laughing.

I take of my shoes and grab Nash's hand pulling him onto the trampolines. We jump and jump until my legs couldn't take it anymore. I fall onto the ground in laughter and Nash joins me. We lay on the ground looking up at the ceiling in silence.

"I really like you Makayla" he says out of the blue. My heart goes crazy.

I really like you too." I respond with a smile.
