Rahul bhai and Ishika di just announced their engagement and we are all so shocked, especially Aaru di, it looks as though if we were not here, she might have killed her best friend for not informing her earlier. But soon, everyone congratulated them and we continued having our breakfast while teasing the three couples with us. We then all left for sight seeing.
Firstly, we all visited golden temple and then we all decided to travel in pair of 2 on bikes. Since, all the boys here know how to ride bikes, they were the one's riding, and us girls sitting on the back. The pairs were Rahul bhai and Ishika di, Rohan bhai and Arini bhabhi, Karan bhai and Ishana bhabhi, Reyansh bhai and Aaru di, Shrey and Neha di, Vihaan and Mira, and at last me and Ishaan.
The cool breeze hit my face and I closed my eyes feeling it, it was just so refreshing. All the stress of studies forgotten in this peaceful place. I without realizing started humming and then singing a song with my eyes still closed.

I opened my eyes just to see we all stopped at a roadside thela to eat maggi and they were all watching me with peaceful expressions, Aaru di signaled me to continue so I closed my eyes and continued.

With that I stopped singing, and heard a series of applause. I opened my eyes to see some people who were passing by clapped hearing my singing. I gave them all polite smile and a small nod expressing my gratitude to them. I turned to the front and noticed Ishaan staring at me through the side mirror of the bike with different emotions in his eyes which I could not name. I raised my brows in a questioning manner but he just shook his head as though saying nothing. I got down the bike and was going towards everyone else when Ishaan held my hand and whispered in my ears "You sing very beautifully starlight!". He left my hand and went ahead towards everyone while I stood rooted to my place. Even I don't know why, but I got butterflies hearing his compliment, more like hearing the nickname he gave me. He always calls me that, when I ask him why does he call me that, he just shrugs and says he will tell me at the right time.
I came out of my thoughts hearing Mira call me, I just shook my head and went towards them with a smile. We all ate maggi and then left from there soon to visit Mallalli falls. We all decided to race to the place and see who reaches first. Everyone went ahead while Ishaan stopped in between and informed me that the bike tire got punctured. I tried to call others but my phone had no signal and his phone had no charge!
"Oh god! Ab kya kare!?!?" I exclaimed with frustration evident in my voice. "Relax, chalo thoda sa aage tak chalte hai, udhar ek mandir hai, shayad udhar se koi madad mil jaye?" Ishaan said in a calm voice. We started walking towards the mandir which was almost 1.5km away. Suddenly two goons came in front of us. "Give us your phones and money, then we wouldn't have any problem!" They said in a dangerous voice. In reflex, I hid behind Ishaan while gulping and said "Ha - Hamare paas paise nahi hai, ye-ye phones lelo aur hume jaane do please!" while forwarding my phone along with his. Suddenly the guy tried to touch me, but before he could touch me, Ishaan landed a punch on his face! My eyes widened in shock when the other goon was about to hit Ishaan. But before he could, Ishaan ducked and landed a punch on his face.
(Oh god! What do we do now!?!?)
(Relax, let's go a little ahead, there is a temple there, maybe we get some help there?)
(W-We don't have any money, ta-take these phones and let us go please!)
He took my hand, and told me to run. We both ran towards the mandir as fast as we could. I noticed the goons still following us. We both ran behind the mandir, we saw some couples there so we went and merged with them. We reached inside the temple with everyone else and realised that they were all getting married. We were going to leave but we noticed the goons still there, I looked towards Ishaan and he signaled me to just sit on the mandap. Some aunty, covered my head with a dupatta saying "ladkiya shaadi mein lehenga nahi bhi pehne toh bhi sar dhak ke rakhna chahiye."
(even if girls don't wear a lehenga in their wedding they should keep their head covered.)
Soon, the pandit started saying the mantras, and before I knew it, Ishaan put sindoor in my hair partition, while some of it fell on my nose. I looked towards him as though asking what did we just do? He showed no emotions on his face. I looked around and saw that the goons were already gone. We both came out of the mandir.
"Humne puri riti riwaz ke saath shaadi karli! Hum court jaake is shaadi ko annul karwa dete hai!" I said while towards him, I could see hurt in his eyes when I said to annul this marriage.
(We had a wedding with proper rituals! Let's go to the court and annul this marriage!)
"Nahi, hum shaadi ko annul nahi karna chahate." He said in a low voice. "Tum ye kya keh rahe ho? Kyu nahi karna chahate?" I asked in shock.
(No, I don't want to annul this marriage.)
(What are you saying? Why don't you want to?)
"Hum aapse pyaar karte hai starlight! Please mujhe ek mauka deke dekh lo!" He begged with tears in his eyes. "Mujhe thoda time dedo, tumhara dil nahi jeeta, toh is shaadi ko annul kar denge, aur abhi ke liye kisiko kuch nahi batayenge!" He continued still with teary eyes. I was shocked to hear his confession. I could never even think that he loved me! But I could hear the sincerity in his words. Frankly speaking, even I like him, not sure about love, but I know I like him very much. So I decided to give him a chance.
(I love you starlight! Please give me one chance and see!)
(Give me a little time, if I don't win your heart, then we will annul this marriage, and for now we will not tell anyone about anything!)
I took a deep breath and said with a smile "2 weeks, you have 2 weeks, mera dil jeetne ke liye." His face bloomed like when a child's face blooms when he gets his favorite chocolate and said with excitement "2 weeks it is!"
