Sorry this took a while. There was a lot that I wasn't happy with in this one shot, and changed more than fifty percent of it. Hopefully you guys will like it. Apologies if it's not good.

The nightmares just keep getting worse. It's day three of them happening. Maybe I'm just stressed? The problem is that I don't know what to be stressed about.

The nightmares start off the same, but more keeps getting added to them. It starts off being dark. I'm not scared of the dark. The last time I was that afraid of it was when I was nine years old when I stopped using a nightlight. Like I said though, more gets added to the nightmares. The darkness I can handle, but that figure...there's someone there. They appeared in the second nightmare for a second before I woke up. Same for the third. Maybe I'll get a better look at them tonight?

Maybe I'll like what I see? Dream boyfriend maybe?

Then why do I always feel panicked every time I wake up?

I want-

"Morning, Mimi."

Mimi jumped out of her skin right away. Her body flinched violently as her pen flew from her hand. Her other hand slammed her diary shut with a loud bang. The sound was enough to surprise Rainbow, who had been sleeping peacefully in his bed. Mimi twisted around, spotting Dude standing in the doorway. He looked a little surprised himself from her reaction. It was early in the morning, almost 6:15am. Dude was dressed in his usual jogging attire, drenched with sweat and was taking his earbuds out of his ears. That's when Mimi remembered Dude's usual routine. He'd be the first out of everyone to wake up and go for his morning run.

"Oh! Morning!" Mimi smiled, breathless. She didn't even hear Dude coming back. She must have been more engrossed in writing in her diary than she'd thought she was. Rainbow quietly plodded to Mimi, working his magic in making her calm.

"You're up earlier than usual." Dude observed, walking to the sofa where Mimi was sitting. He spotted the yellow pen with a star topper on the ground. He gently picked it up and offered it back to his yellow friend. "Normally you're up by time I get back from a run. You're already dressed and everything."

"Oh...I just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep." Mimi smiled sheepishly as she took her pen back. It wasn't a total lie. She was awake before Dude. However, it wasn't completely by mistake. That nightmare that forced her to wake was responsible for that. She recalled hearing Dude moving around about five minutes before he went for his run; that was more than half an hour, nearly forty five minutes ago. She had been awake much longer than that. "I thought that I should be alright to be awake this early for one day."

"As long as you're sure. But if you feel tired later on, don't feel too bad if you want to take a nap." Dude shrugged accepting the reasoning. He finally noticed the yellow notebook that Mimi had in her lap, curiosity spiking. "What's that?"

"My diary." Mimi teased with a smile. She was daring Dude to try to take a look. Instead, Dude rapidly took a step back, holding his hands up. Rainbow did something similar by laying his head back down on his bed and covered his eyes with his floppy ears.

"Say no more." Dude responded, grinning back at his yellow friend.

"Kettle's not long boiled." Mimi smiled, gesturing at the half empty tea cup on the coffee table. "Do you want something for when you're done with your shower?"

"Might want to put that on hold. I don't want anything cold for when I come downstairs." Dude politely turned down, frowning at the thought of cold tea.

"Good idea." Mimi agreed. Without another word, Dude left to go upstairs. Mimi didn't know what came over her, her next words just flew right out of her mouth. "Stay safe."
