Sorry this one took a while. I had a small burnout so most of this story might not be that great.

This is the final segment for "Fears" and one of the preferences originally requested by Snowfalledits

This is technically a sequel to Sprout's fear as there is some continuity here. I just literally didn't know how else to start this short story off.

"Why are we doing this again?" Misty asked bitterly, dust falling on her hair.

"Just need to clear some space." Dude said with an eye roll. He had explained this more than once already. He's convinced that she was doing this just to wind him up. Well he's not taking the bait. Not after her most recent stunt. "Not to mention, you're still grounded, Misty."

"Misty, I get. But why me?" Sprout asked, his head popping out from behind a pile of boxes that he was behind.

"Because you were lazing around. Not to mention you were the only other person that I could grab in the house." Dude sighed, also convinced that Sprout was trying to lure him into a separate windup. Wanting to avoid it, he picked up a hefty box after inspecting the contents. "Now shake a leg, you two. The faster we get this done, the sooner you can both get back to whatever it was that you were doing."

The two complainers actually (and rather creepily) sighed in unison as they felt defeated. This wasn't what they had planned this morning. After doing their morning routine in the Skyline, they were going to do what they originally planned: Misty was going to plot her revenge on Dude for her punishment for scaring Sprout, and meanwhile Sprout had planned to just laze around like Dude had accused him of doing. That was until Dude seemingly came out of nowhere and dragged them up to the attic. It was cluttered and needed a desperate clearing out. After all, the first and last time they attempted to clear it, was the day that Misty was accidentally created by Candi. That was several months ago. Better make a start while they had the time.

Honestly, Dude didn't want Sprout near Misty this soon, but he didn't feel like he had much choice. So long as he was keeping an eye on the pair, he hoped that nothing serious would happen. The least that could happen was them having an arguement that he could break up before it gets worse. They both thankfully kept their distance with Sprout on one side, Misty on the other and Dude right in the middle of this space. Keeping that in mind, Dude opened up another box to inspect the contents. Keep, donate or throw away? It all depends on the contents.

Up until then, neither Misty nor Sprout had been paying attention to what he was doing. Sprout was more focused on staying as far away from her as possible, whether she had a surprise spider on her or not. In all honesty, he considered it to a be a miracle that he hadn't found a real life one yet. And Misty was far too wrapped up in her revenge planning, that she's pretty much stopped working at this point and just braced herself for when Dude noticed her lack of work. They were brought back to earth when they heard Dude let out an exclamation of shock as he leaped back from the offending box.

That's new. Dude doesn't get scared that much.

"You okay Dude? You suddenly got jumpy like a kangaroo." Sprout asked as he and Misty both approached the boy in question.

"Masks." Dude sighed, reaching into the box. He grabbed ahold of one of the said objects and pulled out a ferocious werewolf mask. "They made me jump a little." Sprout and Misty looked inside the box too. So many masks! Animals, monsters, masks to slip on a face, masks to pull onto the head and even masquerade masks. Looking at a couple of them, especially the monster masks, it made sense for Dude to jump out of his skin.

"Do we even need all of these?" Misty asked, cautiously picking up a mask of a tiger.

"Maybe. But it's worth checking their conditions, just in case any need to be thrown away." Dude said, scratching his head. He placed the werewolf mask back in the box along with Misty tossing the tiger mask back into the box carelessly. Dude picked up the box without saying a word and took it away. Then an idea sparked inside Misty's head. She had already planned her revenge. Now all she needs is an accomplice to pull it off.
