The Barrel Break is a double-barreled blaster with a two-step firing trigger, allowing it to fire one barrel at a time or both barrels simultaneously. Loading the blaster involves "breaking" these barrels open, hence the blaster's name; this is done by pulling down on a barrel release lever, located just above the trigger on either side of the blaster. The barrels must be pulled out first before being hinged open, to ensure darts loaded in are in the correct position before firing. Reloading the blaster also primes it for use. Notably, the left barrel always fires first.
A single tactical rail sits atop the blaster. There is also a strap point integrated into the main handle.
Streamline Darts may not fire as well as other dart types, due to not being able to seat properly in the barrels from their inner stems and the blaster's dart post.[citation needed] Though it is packaged with Whistler Darts, Micro Darts may have better performance.
